In the unfortunate event that Barb kicks it in the next few years.
Would Chris take her to the hospital or would he let the paramedics come to 14 Blanchard Court to try and bring her back to life.

with the hoarding situation would the truth that the Chandlers are hoarders be brought to light. That Chris might be arraigned on charges of Elder abuse and living in an unfit environment.

Would Chris just leave her body to decompose with the rest of the hoard or would he actually do the right thing and let law officials and medical professionals into his home?

This again?

But yeah I don't think he'd let her decompose in the hoard. Chances are she wouldn't die there anyways. Most deaths these days occur at a hospital. When she takes a turn fir the worse (unless it's sudden, say a heart attack or something)she will die in an infirmary. I hope someone local will help him out with the funeral and everything. I find nothing amusing about Barb dying, either. Nobody wants to be truly alone.

We have a search feature OP. If you had bothered to use it you would have seen this has been discussed many, many, many, many, many times. Many.

Not yet, harsh as it is, I think it'll happen when barb dies. He'll either withdraw entirely or explode into the world.

My money is on the latter option, She is the stone around his neck and is very controlling of him the moment her stuardship of his life is over he will come out of his shell more but I don't see it as a period of time he will use in any truly productive fashion, it will be a crazy Sperg for a few months followed by a Crash an burn he has been far too lucky for to long an that's going to bite him in the arse.

It's as likely that his own insignificance and lack of power overwhelms him and makes him go hay-wire.
It's a dark topic to explore, but As much as Barb is a stone around his neck, she's also a kind of anchor for Chris. He cretainly doesn't need her to survive, but he needs her on an emotional level, I assume. Not only the companionship but maybe the simple fact he has a file cabinet in his mind where he puts all the grown-up stuff he doesn't want to deal with (like insurances and so on). That file cabinet is labeled "Mommy will take care of it".
The moment he has to deal with all that stuff he never cared for, he will understand how truly clueless he is. He's currently feeling powerless in a world he doesn't understand, but I imagine he can keep the big scary outside world at bay by going "Hmmm yeah. Mommy will take care of that." With that luxury gone, he could just fall into a depression and basically recluse himself.

But as easily, I can see him slowly coming out of his shell and actually starting to bloom. Without Barb, he'd not only have a reason but be actively forced to improve.

I can see it go either way and with Chris you can never tell...

I don't know so much. I have a controversial viewpoint about the death of Barb in that when it does happen part of me can see Chris being forced to change. Bob was many things but he wasn't an idiot. He told Chris to get social security because he knew Chris wouldn't last in a workplace so he wasn't naive to what a liability his son is. People talk about when Chris gets hold of 14BC, he won't. I would almost guarantee that there is a specified executor for the Chandler estate, possibly in the form of a family friend or relative that we are unfamiliar with as they are trusted by Borb but factor very little in Chris' life. Chances are 14BC will not be held in Chris name specifically to stop him being conned into selling it or trying to take out a second mortgage to pay for crap. The will can guarantee him permanent residence rent free until such a time as the executor deems him fit to take ownership. During that time the trustee is a de-facto landlord and can legally demand money to fix things that aren't just regular household maintenance. The thing is, the executor will no doubt also be held responsible for the upkeep of the house (generally a trustee like this will receive an amount of money from the estate as payment for the favour). I can't see a caretaker tolerating the horde and Chris' habits and they can force him to do something about it. Without the bubblewrap of Borb Chris will have to face a human being with genuine power over him who doesn't tolerate his bullshit. He'll have no hugbox. Naturally all this is speculation but having just re-written my own will (second kid born) I know the sort of things I had to put in. All sorts of clauses for if one or both parents die whilst one child is a minor or both or neither etc. Who holds the house, who holds the cash, its mind boggling. I doubt Borbs just says "Chris gets everything no questions asked."
