Apparently they'll be doing routine checks at least twice per game between innings.Umps check Scherzer for "sticky stuff" for the second time in one game, he's not happy about it.

A bunch of baseball vids are trending on twitter now and they're literally all just umpires demanding that players unbuckle their pants and allow themselves to be patted down. Another fantastic move by Rob Manfred.Apparently they'll be doing routine checks at least twice per game between innings.
Uni-Watch went into an autistic fit of rage about them, too. (To be fair, they are hideous.)The 2021 All Star Game jerseys have been revealed and they're absolutely hideous.

2021 MLB All-Star Game Uniforms Unveiled, Worn In-Game for First Time
Major League Baseball today unveiled the uniforms that players will be wearing during the 2021 All-Star Game to be held next month in Denver… and yes, I said “worn during” the All-Star Game. We’ll get to that bit of news after we take a look at the designs. Despite thenews.sportslogos.net
The uniforms will also be worn in the All Star Game itself instead of the Home Run Derby.
I think the Mets could win the division. They've played 2, 4 and 2 games fewer than Washington, Atlanta and Philadelphia, respectively. They've got a 5 game lead over the second place Nats at the moment (although that will likely shrink to 4 as the Mets look like they're going to lose to the Phils while the Nats look like they'll beat Miami today as of writing.) They've done this with Francisco Lindor hitting well below his normal production, but he's been coming on a bit recently. Jeff McNeil has also been producing well below what's typical for him, while also missing significant time this year. The pitching has been really good for them even with David Peterson (who has looked a lot better in his last three starts, the first two coming against the Cubs and Nationals) being a weak spot in the rotation so far, and not having Noah Syndergaard or Carlos Carrasco even throw a single pitch.I’m wondering if the Mets have the chance to make it to the Wild Card this year.
