In all seriousness, one of the better Middle Eastern dictators. That's a pretty low bar, but still. Better than Arab Spring 2.0. The way he went from a doctor with no involvement in politics to dictator of Syria due to wacky family drama also reads like the plot of some kind of warped, bizarro Hollywood underdog movie. It'd make a pretty great dark comedy.
