That's the key take away for much of the game's controversies, the universal inclusion of female soldiers (why they didn't just use the Soviets or actual resistance factions I'll never know) mixed with the wacky cosmetics was too ridiculous for a lot of people, more so when DICE was boasting about the game being an "immersive" experience.Suspension of disbelief takes you only so far. If you start off with "Stories of the untold, unheard" and then whip out British cyborg woman, well, that's legitimately offensive.
The inclusion of the likes of Tom Cruise at the end of the it's life further stretched what was left of that suspension.
