Funny enough, bot battles actually make me a lot more interested in this since I'd rather just do some co-op against bots with some friends.
The fact that they can be filler for missing players is also good, won't make the maps feel empty.Funny enough, bot battles actually make me a lot more interested in this since I'd rather just do some co-op against bots with some friends.
I don't understand why we can't just choose the gadgets/abilities like you can in Gears of War 5.Open loadouts are gonna be a major issue. Hero classes I can live with since they are still classes just we are forced to use a hero there but weapons not being class restricted feels wrong to me. It is gonna lead to bad meta issues Engineers can get a nice infantry killing AR and rockets for tanks for example.
looks like they coming to their roots then (back in a day only SP mode was fighting with the bots)Does playing with 127 bots count? Still not really worth paying attention still but now at least I know if it's $10 in a year I can still play without going online.
Imagine getting a handjob from that arm of hers.
Maybe, but they likely would have hired some dumbass ex-Games Journo to write the script. Oh, wait, didn't they already to do that for Battlefront 2?Maybe they could have put more effort into it instead of removing it entirely?
I wouldn't have even minded as much if they didn't try to make less multiplayer content than BFV.
ok this hack im totally behind thoView attachment 2250292
This happened hours before they unveiled the trailer for Battlefield 2042. I was going to put it on Culture Wars Thread, but didn’t want to double post.
No, some /biz/ fag bought the domain months before the trailer by mere coincidenceMeanwhile, someone on 4chan must have hacked Battlefield 2042’s website.
Might have been for a short, brief period of time.
Ah, I think I might have seen that when I was lurking on /v/ an hour ago.No, some /biz/ fag bought the domain months before the trailer by mere coincidence
what people usually ignore is that no one needs a campaign for contemporary or ww2 shit. everybody knows the setting and everything around it (it's not like they get creative and do someone else than russians, since china is off limits and middle east would require asymmetric design). for future or scifi even a shitty campaign can help to explain wtf is going one - but then 2142 did it with a 3 minute trailer, so there's that.Maybe, but they likely would have hired some dumbass ex-Games Journo to write the script. The only reason I agree removing it is dumb is because it kind of comes off like them no longer caring about the franchise. Which... has been evident given just how little fucks they've given since 5 and we really shouldn't be surprised they went hero mode given thecharactersELITES they released for 5 near the tail end.
I'm gonna go ahead and say something incredibly cynical. I don't think Generation Z has any idea what the fuck happened in Iraq much less WW2. I also don't believe DICE can deliver a decent narrative for either.what people usually ignore is that no one needs a campaign for contemporary or ww2 shit. everybody knows the setting and everything around it (it's not like they get creative and do someone else than russians, since china is off limits and middle east would require asymmetric design). for future or scifi even a shitty campaign can help to explain wtf is going one - but then 2142 did it with a 3 minute trailer, so there's that.
Yeah, gonna sadly agree here. The amount of reeing in response to Six Days in Fallujah is evidence. Not that that's entirely their fault since so many people have a vested interest in making the US out to be the worst villains since Hitler when it comes to Iraq.I don't think Generation Z has any idea what the fuck happened in Iraq much less WW2.
I don't give a fuck what anyone says, BF 2142 was a great game.God, it's more underwhelming than I thought. 10 minutes into the future setting (because that totally worked for Advanced Warfare and Ghosts), classes tied to hero characters, hero character bullshit in general so that Dice can make shitty battle passes, any class can use any weapon, and inklings of a battle royale mode. Might as well just call the game Call of Duty: 2042.
Dice only mentioned that sinceIt's funny that gaming journos are losing their minds over Dice saying it isn't political despite having climate change as a backdrop, because that was the backstory to BF2142 which made 15 years ago when climate alarmism was nowhere near as bad as it is today and was simply an excuse to have 2 factions fighting over the remaining warm land. In fact, this game might even be a prequel to 2142, which would be great.
The journos are either purposely ignoring this fact or are genuinely unaware of this and are once again proving they have no place writing their shit because they have no idea what they're talking about.
Anyway, the trailer genuinely didn't make me feel anything at all. It was like one of those "only in Battlefield" montages but professionally made and not real. I think a lot of people are just grateful it's better than the trashfire trailer that was BFV's (me included tbh). Hopefully we'll see some gameplay soon and see what we're in for. The hero shooter elements seem out of place, but they basically just seem to be the regular classes but with names and personalities so whatever.
