Hating sales on a console where the best selling game on the platform (BoTW) outsold the console itself, it should be on the PS4 where its best selling game (uncharted 4) was a drop in a bucket compared to the 21m PS4 units out there, suuuure.

I'm caring less and less about what GOOD game is exclusive or not, don't have the money to keep upgrading my console when my 2009 Samsung TV is going to make the difference matter less and less.

But, from a business standpoint I can't even speak for that, since I've got the grasp of business at a k-12 level.

I was harsh on the Switch earlier but good on Nintendo for pushing a reason to buy the console in the first place, unlike with the Wii U which they barely even gave incentive for anyone to bother at all.

No, it really wasn't. The original Bayonetta shipped over 1.3 million units on PS3 and 360. Then add another 300,000 from Steam. It would be optimistic to say Bayonetta 2 sold 500k.

True, although something to remember is that Bayonetta sold 1.3 million copies with a 160+ million potential user base whereas Bayonetta 2 had less than 15 million potential owners so the proportion of owners would be much higher.

Bayonetta 3 is going to be on a platform much more successful than the Wii U and with Nintendo actually putting forth effort towards third-party support. If all goes well, the game could reach over a million in sales since Nintendo will put marketing muscles towards ensuring this game sells.

They have become this generations Xbox Kids. Since the PS4 has more of less locked the generation down for sales, they are used to getting everything on their system of choice. Now Nintendo has come along with a fast selling system and a big exclusive games dick just slapping them in the face and now they are freaking out.

Shit, I don't even mind. I never played Bayonetta 2 since I don't own a Wii. I'm just happy Bayonetta 1 finally came to PC after all these years. Why can't these people enjoy things in stride? Play Bayo 1 on PC, save up some cash, get a Wii or a Switch, or if it's too much wait for the Switch to go down over time or some special sale(we JUST had Black Friday, for instance), then buy one. I mean, power leveling here, but I don't even plan to buy either anytime real soon. If I wanna play it, I'll get it when it's feasible for me. Seems some people have trouble balancing life responsibilities and their hobby. Or they're just bitching to bitch.

If you consider sales based on consoles separately, than bayonetta 2's sales are only slightly less than the first game on xbox 360, and this isn't taking into consideration digital copies sold (which is why there was news about it reaching 1 million copies sold, not sure how you are only getting 600k when even in retail sales it has around 840k sold)

If Bayonetta 2 had been on other consoles than it would have certainly outsold the first game, instead it just edges out the xbox 360 in sales with its reported 1 million copies sold. Of course with Bayonetta 1-2 being released on switch that could change somewhat.
