Speaking as a German, the most surprising aspect about all this to me is, that Berlin has a palace.

Hopefully nothing fancy got damaged, a shame this didn't happen in Claudia Roth's house.

That's a fucking shame. I've been to Berlin (lovely people there) and the architecture was mostly modern due to it getting blown to hell in the war and everyone drawing lines all over it.
Sad to see a nice old building get damaged, a lot of the old stuff is mostly postwar and it's a bit hit and miss.

Its not an old building, its the reconstruction of an old building beeing build, and It was way less damaging than it looked like. it was 2 tar boilers on the construction site burning.

What an odd thing to say. France has seen a continual wave of arson on its churches by Islamists. More than one a month the year Notre Dame went up. French government declared that the blaze was accidental before they had even put it out. Literally before there was any way to know. You know the French government. Do you really think that they are going to kick off ethnic riots by saying a Muslim arsonist did it if they can help it? I mean, the UK government and police covered up mass rape for the sake of the perpetrator's religion. Why do you go all "conspiracy theory nutjob" dismissal about Notre Dame? About the only thing we know for a fact is that they declared it wasn't arson before they could actually know if it was or not.
