I'm not sure if this is really deep...delete if u want am retarded. but hearing stories 'bout animals always cheers me up personally
Personally, my two cats are my little treasures. They follow me around everywhere I go, get very protective of me, and sleep with me most nights. Here's one of them, named Pumpkin.
I like that cats are more independent than dogs, and I don't feel personally smothered. I still love dogs though, but they can be too much. :chicken:

I think this should probably be in general instead, but I agree what you mean about cats. Cats can, as the song says, "hold on loosely, but not let go", and I appreciate that.

Because you have to work a bit harder to gain their affections, it seems a little more genuine and unbreakable at the same time, which I like.

I don't have cats myself, but I've befriended my fair share all around the city. So much so I regularly had cats rushing out to me whenever I passed by.

Ah, thanks. I'm very forgetful.

Cute kitty. Does he like lasagna?

I love all the pets I've ever had, but we used to have this toy poodle who thought he was a bigboy dog.
He was also super gay.
He was purebred, so my parents made some agreement with a breeder and this lady took him for an entire weekend. He apparently didn't touch the female once. He came home and started humping out next-door neighbor's dog. It was male, lol.

He was a poodle, they don't come in a straight variety.

Loved my old Shih-Tzu, Duke. Honestly, he was more like a cat in a lot of ways, didn't like getting all snuggly for too long, and he was never very loud. Also very lazy, and training him was damned near impossible, outside of the basic stuff. You'd think he was deaf or something, except he never missed so much as a tap when something fell off the table, or I opened a cupboard. Still, for all that he was difficult to train, he was a clever little bugger. I used to be afraid to let him out of the house off his leash, since he always found a way to slip under the fence. Eventually figured out how to open the gate eventually, the little bastard. Stopped worrying after I realized that he'd just meander around on the lawn before coming around to the front door though, he wasn't dumb enough to wander out onto the road or anything. Never really liked other dogs though. I think how enthusiastic they were annoyed him. Had to put him down during the summer, which was sad, but I think 15's a ripe old age for a Shih-Tzu, and he didn't really have any issues up until the tumor in the last month. Still miss him though, for all the annoying habits he had he really grew on me.

I loved all my pets.

I had a dachshund growing up. True to the breed she was very brave but no brains. She was amazing though, could hunt birds like a cat. Every day we would find 2 or 3 pigeons in the backyard when I would come home from school. Had a couple rats that just loved people and would go on trips riding in my husbands shirt pocket. (He put tissue paper in his pocket if they had to go.) Had a cat for 13 years that was just as good as any guard dog. He did not give a fuck, my dad would call him El gato.

And now we have a cat that I think was a dog in a past life. He plays fetch, meows at and about everything, and chases his own tail, and a rabbit that acts like he's king of the castle. They're good pets. I love them just as much as I've loved all my other pets.

I love my current dog, Leto. I adopted him last year when he was around 7 or 8 since his previous owner died and I absolutely love Aussie Shepherds, they’re cuties. He’s significantly overweight (he came that way) so were trying to get him to lose weight, it’s tough. He also keeps licking his paw and it’s getting to the point where he’s bleeding, so were trying to stop him from doing that. He’s a total sweetheart though, fucking love that dude.

A Russian blue, tabby mix cat that we named Bob. Had him since his birth. One day I was brushing my hair in the bathroom and he was meowing to get my attention, I ignored him and kept brushing and I heard this continuous dripping sound.

I turned around and he was peeing in the toliet, we had never trained him to do that. I like to think he was trying to impress me to get attention. He peed in the toilet regularly after that.

He got outside and disappeared years ago... I like to think someone picked him up. He was the coolest and most intelligent cat I've ever owned. I miss him.
