When you're at uni/in college or living in that expensive closet in Manhattan, you want cookbooks that let you make real food with your limited space and/or money.

Accepting recommendations. I'll also add one: Cooking in a Bedsitter by Katharine Whitehorn. It's very British.

There are a lot of dedicated one pan/one pot/sheet pan/dutch oven, five-ingredient, cooking-for-one (or two), and college cookbooks on Amazon. Most of them seem fairly decent and usually offer some complete recipes in their previews that you can try out before buying.

I think I want to get this one: The Ultimate Cooking for One Cookbook: 175 Super Easy Recipes Made Just for You by Joanie Zisk.

Honestly, you're best off going online and searching for recipes for one or two people. When you find those that you like, print them off and put them in a binder. That's what I used to do. In fact, I still have it, but I've added to it as I've gotten older to accommodate my family. I typically only use a recipe verbatim once because I come from a long line of a pinch of this and that cooks, but that's an easy way to gather recipes from multiple sources without taking up a bunch of space or spending a lot money.

Instant Pot. I have a full sized kitchen and enjoy cooking but could easily live out of my instant pot only if I needed to. You can even stack dishes in there to cook more than one thing at a time (ie curry + rice, chicken + potatoes) if you time everything carefully.

I just use the internet, especially Pinterest as one big cookbook. There's a ton of recipes.

I convert the ones I really like into a PDF and keep them in my dropbox for easy access with my phone.

Buzzfeed's tasty has tons of good and easy recipes. Theres a honey glaze salmon recipe to die for, and I usually cook that with white rice to mix into the extra marinade

It's a slight investment and I'm not sure if OP is living in a dorm or something like that. I don't know that Instapots would be allowed. Of course, I'm old enough that it was hot plates were banned in my dorm. It'd be a great solution though for a small space with limited storage for pots and pans.

I don't have a cookbook to offer, but I had a rice cooker in my dorm room, and you can make a surprising amount of things in it. Also, it's not a large investment. You can get a good rice cooker for $15. Plus, it hides well, if you aren't allowed to have them where you live. You can even make bread in a rice cooker.

*Edit*- Found this super cheap. Recipe Book for Rice Cooker It will at least give you ideas. Don't forget, food is creative and fun. Don't be afraid to play around!

Those with connections to the Second Battle of Fallujah discuss the Middle East in media and mistrust of the US military, and ask who the game will actually ask players to empathize with.
