What's your personal choice, when you just want to get so shit-faced that you forget how much life sucks?
Well that all depends. Generally I like to end a day with a small glass of bourbon or other whiskey (right now some Jameson Black Barrel i randomly found) or two in order to get brain numbed slightly before bed. However to get drunk fast and easy might I recommend some mild overproof shots?
Basically you get a bottle of overproof rum that is around 120-140 proof (60%-70% alcohol) that has a touch of actual flavour to it and take a shot, chase it with a palate cleanser (can be just about anything) then take another shot, more palate cleanser, and after your third shot your mouth should be numbed enough to just shot for shot it till you reach your preferred level of shitfaced. Since you are not just having everclear of 180+ proof grain alcohol it wont burn or bite anywhere near as bad.
For this purpose I find Wray and Nephews works quite well. It actually has a pretty good flavour to it (for some reason I find it tastes a lot like 100% agave Tequila) and has enough of a punch to get you sauced swiftly

A liter of Windsor. Coke optional, if getting black out drunk is on the menu.
Jameson is my main choice for when I want to drown my sorrows.
Though Jack Daniels or Wild Turkey 101 are good too.

At my worst I'd just drink the highest proof neutral spirit I could get my hands on. If it wasn't too high, like only 50-60% neutral vodkas and rums, I'd just drink it straight and wouldn't chase it. If I got into the really high shit (like 90% "moonshine" or "everclear" type shit) I'd chase it with tap water.
It doesn't taste good but I wasn't drinking for fun/for the taste. If you're American I know they sell everclear shit in the states it's 90% or something I think, just get that. Also home distilling is way cheaper and easier than you'd think. Just do a sugar wash with regular baker's yeast, contrary to popular belief the "brewer's yeast" shit does not usually ever result in higher alcohol concentrations or better smoothness/taste.

My drinking buddy and I have switched to exclusively 190 proof Everclear for maximum cost effectiveness. We just mix it with tea or juice and try to forget how wrong it all went. If you live somewhere that doesn't allow 190 proof Everclear would recommend moving to a less commie state.
