I went to this place called El Ranchero, they had some of the nicest staff of all the Mexican places I've been to in my life. The food was a bit pricy, but the service and warming hospitality was worth it. The Enchiladas were spectacular, as well as their Fajitas. Service time was like, in a few minutes time, plates steaming hot. Wonderful.
I went to some hole in a wall restaurant in Mexico and had rancher style eggs. Probably the best breakfast.
Hard to pick the best supper, steak and eggs at some bar for 7 dollars, beef Fajita's in Mexico. Dunno, my mothers cooking is pretty basic but its the best. Simple stuff like beef with rice done perfectly.
Can't say I'm a fan of expensive restaurants. The steaks aren't particular all that special and you're spending more on an atmosphere and garnishes than on food.
There's a small restaurant in Alykanas, Zakynthos called the Lemon Tree where they sell a black pepper sauce steak. It is the tastiest stuff I've ever had, the steak is cooked to perfection and the sauce gives it so much flavour. Every time I go to Zakynthos I have to go to that restaurant, it's like a highlight of the year since it's the best steak I've ever had.
Shout out to another restaurant in Zakynthos, the Alkyonis does lamb in honey sauce, Greek honey is not as sweet as the shit we get here but the sweetness of the honey compliments the tenderness of the lamb.
Random Italian place in Maine, family owned, grandma cooking in the kitchen. I had some kind of pasta dish with morel mushrooms that was so fucking good.
A celeriac, pecorino and mint tart. The flavour was so earthy and deep, it was the culinary equivalent of sticking your head in the lowest C pipe of a church organ.
