Bitchute bans all search results for "Holocaust", "Jew" and "Hitler" - Common terms like "WW2" and "Panzer" are ok while "Jew" and "Hitler" aren't

We already knew that under the new Soros funded management Bitchute was gonna be gay, but banning basic search terms goes beyond even what YouTube does.
At least on youtube they give you an illusion that your search brought up results, even if they're clearly tailored. It's hilarious to me rather then addressing anybody this bitchute will just make their website unusable by breaking normal features. Apparently you can still even find the same video results indexed on google so you can find it via search, but Bitchute breaking their website is stupid.
Watch them claim this is a bug.





Even terms like "WW2" being up tens of thousands of videos curiously.


Panzer had over 1000 results.


Why does this matter even if I think Hitler is gay and nazis are dumb?
Because breaking features of your website to censor very specific aspects is awful policy but also some of the most hamfisted censorship I've ever seen. It makes no sense to deal with both historical and ahistorical propaganda this way. Bitchute is getting rid of channels and content without reason, so seeing them expand their grasp is further concerning.
Alternatives to youtube need to exist and bitchute is very clearly showing itself as being somehow even worse.

Time to find new alternative to bitchute, but that was already obvious.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. On one hand, censoring blatant misinformation and far right indoctorination is a positive but innocent videos that just talk about WW2 and such are shadowbanned in a way (though coming from Bitchute, I highly doubt that they'll simply make informative videos).

It's easy to remove anti-Semitic content under discriminatory content but misinformation is free speech and that's what BitChute users came to the website for. Banning the keywords sets a presitence that could follow with more bans.
On the other hand, BitChute is viewed badly by big tech as they're labelled "The right wing YT" and after the Parler incident, they don't want to be next so they're saving face for big tech to leave them alone.

Well that's the crux with bitchute, it only has content banned elsewhere for the most part. If you alter the search on what amounts to a semi fringe website, it seems to go again the core values.
Removing channels and videos without good reason was already a huge overstep by bitchute but nobody did anything cause it was really only Nordic Resistance Movement+Ethan Ralph videos.
Fucking up the search after they fixed it a few months ago is really a shame, pointless and hurtful to the userbase. Bitchute can't really alienate its users when they rely on donations to run.

Bitchute is not large enough to treat its userbase as a fungible asset, this will likely kill the site. Not because of "muh hitler" but because they're already getting involved in content policing.

If controlling the narrative is such an uphill battle that you have to censor the largest conflict in world history, maybe, just maybe, it's not the "far-right" doing the "indoctrinating," and spreading "blatant misinformation."

The ban on youtube of this stuff was effective. The bitchute mirrors racked up far fewer views. You have to be a pretty big nerd to even know of bitchute's existence. Now the ban on bitchute will be equally effective because you have to be a nerd of nerds to know what alternative, if any, comes after bitchute.
