Black Panther gets 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes... - ... after RT indicates it will remove and ban anything reported as hate speech.

There's no point in even reading reviews of Disney/Marvel stuff anymore. Black Panther will be identical in quality and tone to Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, and the last five or six of their products. It will be... fine.

Still blows my mind that Ant-Man and Thor 2 have higher ratings than Amazing Spider Man 2 and Suicide Squad.

The people who believe this film will have some deep impact on society are right up there with the dipshits that genuinely believe Rick & Morty is the most intelligent show on TV.

At the end of the day, all I see is a standard MCU film that happens to have a largely black cast.

Everything about this whole situation is so fucking autistic. This focus on 'bigotry' being the reason people hated movies like that abysmal Fantastic Four or that all-female Ghostbusters didn't save those movies. Why would reeeing about everyone being big, mean bigots save this one? This is the first MCU movie I will not see in fucking theatres, not because I dislike the PoCs, but because I'm finally just tired of these endless cape movies. That, and I fucking hated that last Thor movie.

So does the film offer anything of substance, or it's just the usual "lel quirky dude" shit Marvel pulls out, only now black?

If I want to see a good superhero film with a black lead I'll stick to Blade thank you very much.

Black people in movie theaters is the worst experience you can think of, so I’m skipping this as well.

No.

Just no.

Too much no.

Oh, dear Lord, no.

More proof of how RT is useless. Movies ain't perfect, nor free from criticism/detraction... Especially if it's capeshit.
Just to clarify, a 100% rating on rottentomatoes doesn't mean that it was rated perfectly. It just means that 100% of critics they aggregate (usually the same magazines and sites) gave a positive review, which can be anything from a 3/5 to a 5/5.

As for the movie itself, I haven't seen it, and since I'm out of free cinema tickets and I'm a massive cheapskate I don't think I'll end up seeing it in the cinema unless someone asks me to come with. Trailers looked alright though. It's probably pretty fun.

Depends on the movie. I had a blast watching Cabin In The Woods in a mostly black theatre.

It all really depends on what kind of a movie it is. If it's the kind of movie where you actually want to be in a theater full of people yelling and screaming and throwing popcorn, a black theater is the best place in the world.

The funny thing is that if you remove all utterances of "nigger" the movie is a PG movie. There's no nudity and the violence is pretty tame.

GDLK theme song of course.

Now, the Legend of Nigger Charley is more R-rated material (and also coincidentally stars Fred Williamson) but I don't think the uncut version is readily available.

Tomatometer, CinemaScore, Metacritic: Try to be as unbiased as they can, and let the words of people who actually know shit about movies be more powerful than the people who don’t have much, if any, experience in properly criticizing movies properly.
People: They’re all just saying good things because they’re on the company’s payroll!

IMDb, Audience Scores: You can post multiple reviews without having to see the movie, and purposely give the film low, or high scores because of insignificant shit like the actor’s race, etc.
People: They’re the only one’s you should listen to!

Sounds about right.
