Marvel films are the most common denominator shit possible, even moreso than Bay's Transformers. Of course the actress is sexualized just like every male character is sexualized in those films. The only difference now is that Hollywood tries to refresh the myth of how to make it big by implying the actresses won't need to suck the dick, though this will stay a universal constant.

Any woman who actually cares about girls will tell them to stay the fuck away from Hollywood and get education in something that will give them a future that isn't laced with gallons of cum and a very likely early death from overdose.

It will break even but I doubt it will turn a profit. It's advantages are a generations of people being raised on consoom. But on the other hand, it's a C-grade character portrayed by a harpy well past her age that died in the original films, that themselves happened too long ago to care, in a time where people still fear going to the cinema. And 100% it will fail in China.

In a perfect world we would have gotten a Black Widow movie set after Winter Soldier, right after Winter Soldier, and then probably ANOTHER after Civil War.
I do think that after Civil War is the perfect place to make a solo movie now, though, since they’re only getting one. It’s come up in interviews that Natasha’s really alone at this point, not part of SHIELD, not part of the Avengers, and that’s never happened to her before and that’s really strong logic. But also it seems like the perfect time for her past to catch up with her because it also means she doesn’t have protection.
Like if she’s basically burned, then all old enemies or interested parties can show up and not worry about it causing an incident with whatever larger organization she might be part of.
Either way, I’m just happy they didn’t decide to do an origin movie.

2. Black Widow "being sexualized" has a point-- she takes advantage over men's weaknesses and uses them to her own ability. That's exactly what a femme fatale character is in the first place, and Black Widow absolutely fits that bill. Nothing wrong with that.

3. Iron Man 2 played up her sexuality in order to "subvert the expectations" of the characters around her. She was literally undercover, for crying out loud. That's why her fight scene is probably the coolest part of that entire movie-- she's quiet and sexy throughout most of the movie, and then comes out as this absolutely badass chick who cuts through an entire security team like a hot knife through butter in the final act of the movie. Iron Man 2 is far from the best that comic book movies have to offer, but I think Black Widow was cool in that movie (she was at her best in The Winter Soldier, but I digress). Sorry not sorry.

4. Scarlett Johannson is a phony-ass weirdo, just like the rest of Hollywood. 10 years ago, she kept bragging about how hard she fought to get the role for Black Widow. She bragged about dyeing her hair red and just plain demanding the job, and how proud she was to get the part. Now she plays the victim card after millions upon millions of dollars and 10 years later. Now she talks about how uncomfortable she was. Cry me a goddamn river, girl.
