Hearthstone Grandmasters Asia-Pacific Ruling
During the Asia-Pacific Grandmasters broadcast over the weekend there was a competition rule violation during a post-match interview.
Ok so the long and the short of it is that this hearthstone player Blitzchung basically threw his support behind Hong Kong in an interview. Mind you what he said was rather tame, there's about 1 gorillion DOLAN DRUMF social media posts by actual Blizzard Activision employees that are probably way worse.
Anyways if you support the people of Hong Kong you've violated this rule
Engaging in any act that, in Blizzard’s sole discretion, brings you into public disrepute, offends a portion or group of the public, or otherwise damages Blizzard image will result in removal from Grandmasters and reduction of the player’s prize total to $0 USD, in addition to other remedies which may be provided for under the Handbook and Blizzard’s Website Terms.
My understanding that Bliztchung wasn't just removed and banned but they got rid of the announcers and a few other people as well for allowing it to happen.
But yeah Blizzard will flaunt it's super progressive YAAASS KWEEN bullshit in the west, but dare you speak ill of Honorable Chairman Pooh and his methods, you're shit canned.
Neo-Liberal Corporations need their shit pushed in.
