So today is a solemn day in Christory as you have probably noticed by the memorial banner at the top of the forum. Please use this thread to post your thoughts, your memories, and your kind words of remembrance about Bob Chandler.

At least Bob tried to make Chris somewhat responsible and gave him chores to do, which is way beyond Barbs parenting. Bob didn't really have much to work with regarding Christian, but he did try.

I have a soft spot for Bob. He certainly wasn't parent of the year, but he was definately the tape that held the shaky foundation of 14BC together. Nobody else gave Chris what little discipline he ever had as much as Bob did...as scarce as it was.

I live very far away from your country Bob Chandler but, I wish I could have know you in person. The very few recordings I heard of you tell me of a really rich life full of adventures some with better outcomes than others.

I am sure you were a really nice guy and I would have like to listen to your jazz collection.

Many judge you as a not so good a parent, but who we are to judge if we don't know how it was for you. Also who can claim to be a perfect parent of even a good one! There are no technical manuals for parenting and we have to improvise often as we go.
