The late Bob Chandler, the Internet Lumberjack, seems to be a man of contradictions. He's often fanonized as a racist and a homophobic, but I don't really think either of those is correct. I mean, he hung out with the Korean pastor, and there's no actual evidence that he was a member of the KKK (just that he grew up in a racist area) and as for homophobia, I don't even think that's the case, either. It's well documented that Chris got his from watching too much TV, not necessarily from Bob. In Chris' "tomgirl" phase, it's pretty clear Bob was unhappy with that (admit it, no one would've liked that) but Bob never threw Chris out of the house, or even forced him to cut his hair.

The thing that bugs me about Bob is his schizophrenic political views. He thinks that the county would condemn 14BLC, but counties rarely shut down private houses, much less one in backwoods Virginia. This would tend to show a distrust toward government (in vogue with the right currently) but then again, Bob signed up for the :tugboat: which involves putting a lot of personal information down. Of course, by doing that he tends to go against the conservative/Republican ideals by actually working to get a paycheck, not by sponging off other taxpayers (this is, by the way, what kept West Virginia a blue state for years, it only turned red because of the current Democrat war on coal). Does that make Bob a hypocrite, or is that type of situation more common in the backwoods area?
