I remember watching this sometimes when on summer break. Very soothing.
A wonderful man. After retiring from his position as a high-ranking military officer, he vowed never to raise his voice at anyone ever again.
The one that always made me feel feels was the episode where he told the story about a fan who came up to him and lamented that he couldn't be a painter because he suffered from total colorblindness, so Ross dedicated an episode to him where he painted only in greyscale, using black and white paint in varying mixtures.
I told my mother about this and she could not comprehend there were 54 thousand viewers at the time I showed her and she told me to ask my brother if he is watching it and he said "No, but I've seen most of them" and she was really confused
I remember watching him when I was too young to remember memories.
It's sad that I look back and this man that fascinated me so much died....
