There are still some places that call it that, but it's somewhat archaic. The AA definition folds brandishing into it. Assault is essentially any unlawful act that causes someone to fear imminent harm, while battery is if you actually cause the physical harm, no matter how slight.

It's worse when you know that Boogie's hung out with people who lie about their weight to get onto some of the slides at water parks. Wouldn't doubt for a second that a weight capacity for his carriage would not be followed.

Law may say that but people have been convicted of manslaughter for shooting someone on there porch, threw doors and the like, because it was considered that the person wasn't in danger. Arkansas handles these things very weirdly (constitutional carry and self defense), and it is very dependent on where in the state you live. There's a joke in Arkansas about home defense, people say you have to drag them in the door before calling the cops.
