will pirate this piece shit since i like torture myself with bad dialog and story. not sure to either play the robot or the potato nigga.
Robot's been fun enough. The one complaint I have is that he makes Goliaths impossible to level up before killing since your chosen pet is always out once selected, will automatically respawn in 60 seconds once killed, and there is no Dismiss Pet option. I'm not sure how they missed that.

I'm fine with the Bloody Harvest event. A little short since it's only one unique level, but I've enjoyed it so far.

Also just finished the part of Rescuing Tannis....

What a pathetic plot element that Tannis had just been a Siren all along and was hiding it.I already had it spoiled to me that Tannis was a Siren, but I didn't know how. Although it already sounded stupid, I was interested in seeing how she became one through a Siren's death and Eridium exposure, but nope, she was always a Siren. The schizophrenic mad scientist who spent most of the first game complaining about the Dahl corporation abandoning her on a desolate planet, struggling to survive, backstabbing her colleagues (and you)...was only pretending to be re.tarded. She could have teleported between areas for supplies, but nah.

DISGUSTING.

I don't think I can like her anymore after this, and I thought I was being open-minded. It just puts all her previous shit in such an obnoxious context and plainly ruins her character. They've written themselves into a dead-end here, and if the gameplay sours this franchise is history.
Actually, it's implied Tannis inherited Angel's powers. Still stupid to make her a Siren though.

I reached that part just now, still doesn't help her character much at all, although that does fix the problems I had with the original.

So Siren inheritance just comes down to willingly picking a successor now? Makes the whole Siren mythos a lot less interesting imo, though the overabundance of Siren shit has somewhat contributed to that already. I'll wait until the end of the game before I say anything more on it.

Have you tried respecing your trees? sometimes having specs that go shit together is usually the problem, and retweaking your build helps wonders. Also investing on a good shield/weapon mod helps. Bosses are more grindy in this game unfortunately imo, but also the new Terror mechanic introduced for halloween will totally botch your damage and accuracy if you have enough stacks of it without proper annointed weapons to capitalise on this status.
I respecced a bit and things are a little smoother. I've never been twitchy and I'm old as hell now so my slowing reaction times made Traunt a bastard when he flips his shit late in the fight. Hiding in the right place and popping him through a window waiting for the robot to be ready does not make the fight fun, just boring. The same thing is making the event boss impossible, but I think that's partially the level I'm at just not giving me enough oomph to make up for my slow hands.

The boss fight in Atlas HQ was the first boss I enjoyed - didn't matter that I failed a bunch figuring out priorities. It wasn't overly tuned like Traunt but also not made laughable by the robot like Katagawa Ball. That fight made me understand why Moze is considered EZMode even if I was sucking at it.

I wish the writing was better. The jokes are lame, and the story is written like it was by someone who doesn't quite get why the others were good - kind of like Disney's Star Wars writers are with that franchise. There's some fun to be had, it's satisfying charging up a Maliwan sniper rifle and blasting a cultist in the face when they pop out of cover. I'm having fun with the weapons with selectable options, too.

I just haven't had the can't stop laughing moments like pre-cucked Mr. Torgue scenes in the earlier games. I don't think I've even had many weak laughs. Maybe when the dude was mocking teen-angst's diary.

I think it was in the BL2 Torgue DLC where they made him say shit like RESPECTING WOMEN IS THE MANLIEST THING YOU CAN DO.
Apart from that, was there any more cuckery with him in 3?

I actually recall that being in the Pre-Sequel, which is it's own trainwreck of a game in terms story and gameplay loop
I think that was in 2. TPS had its moments, and I thought the Claptrap DLC was nice. My main problem with it was how sparse it was.

Finished the game:

It's a shame Typhon DeLeon is the best part of the game, only to be expended by its end. He was a decent character with highs and lows, and they popped him off just when he starts rubbing off for you.

The ending was pretty lackluster. Tannis became unbearable the moment she was a Siren and acts stupid at the end, Ava just sits there trying to be all-knowing and smug, and Lilith decides to be Cosmic Superman. Cue end credits and the most annoying bullshit mainstream music to grace Borderlands airwaves.

The best Vault Hunter of all time, the motherfucker who probably had killed billions of psychos and monsters during his career, tries to kill a literal god using a lv 2 grenade. Dies as result

Yeah, that was really dumb. I thought the whip was interesting since it may have been fashioned from Eridian Tech, but the moment he popped out the grenade I thought, "This isn't going to work!" Terrible plan.

Also, wasn't Tyreen's plan to absorb the Destroyer's energy to become a god? So why did she just fall in and become a Resident Evil abomination? To me that doesn't seem very godlike, and more like the Destroyer ate her.

Aparently there was (or will be) an intended DLC that will answer where did Jack's double, Aka, Timothy, ended up after the events of B2. There was some audio found in the main game that hint towards some plot involving a casino station that Handsome Jack built for Moxxi before their breakup and aparently it had some sort of lockdown system that would come into action if Handsome Jack were to perish so the whole station was cut off from the rest of the universe. Years later, the station became its own "city" with this mysterious entity "pretty boy" being the one in charge, being inside the main controls of the station when it entered lockdown but he needs Timothy's hand to unlock the lockdown (and of course Timothy is in station too).
IKIL but that sounds like a lazy rip off of a New Vegas DLC.

Don't you kill a Jack body double in Borderland 2? I assumed that was Tim.

Also who dies from that shitty grenade plan?

They kill off so many characters, that's indicative of nobody writting this being around for the previous games. It's not their characters so they give any shit about them.

More likely they are trying to be Game of Thrones and randomly killing off characters to get the audience engaged but doing it badly.

I assume that "Tim" is the Jack body double that's a playable class in Borderlands : The Pre Sequel and not any other Body Double.

The writers from 2 and TPS confirmed that the body double you killed in 2 isnt Timothy and that he is still alive during the events of 2. Borderlands 3 references him on a poster, a real misopportunity if they dont bring him in the DLC as a surprise "HJ" return but surprise, its Timothy so you kind of have Jack back but no an actual hero.
There is a fair balance between keeping the characters alive or not. When its done for shock value, its bad but when it makes sense and adds to the story, its good.
Roland's Death was a good example of subverting expectations since Roland was pretty much the "hero" of B2 and he got killed off just like that by HJ
Maya's Death was a bad example for multiple reasons but the fact it was a very preventable tragedy caused by an abnoxious brat that the game is doing all it can to force her into the spotlight at the cost of much superior characters...yeah.
