Finally finished reading this thread and holy shit, this ''baby'' is nothing more than a ball of seizures, it is honestly hard to look at

I showed the video where he is playing with a turtle toy and just seizing and screaming the whole time to a family's friend (who is a doctor) and he was horrified. He told me Jaxon was the worst case of anencephalic-kid-abuse he had ever seen.

Editing to add what the doctor had said about ''anencephalic kid abuse''
He basically said that some parents (sadly most of them) can't really cope with the fact their kid is missing half their head so they keep feeding others around them this false idea of the kid being just ''special needs'', when in reality, the kid is a fucking vegetable unable to even conceive what a ''special need'' is. He said a lot of parents will keep dressing up their kid and taking photos with filters and shit and pretend the kid is only retarded, because it is easier to swallow when your kid is just slow than to swallow the cold hard truth (which is your kid is literally brainless and less sentient than a plancton.)

Wait, a doctor has a term for this? I thought Jaxon was the only anacephalic baby to survive this long.

The ones the doctor was referring to were small babies, like, only some months old. He is a pediatrician and told me that sadly, this behavior is pretty ''standard'' when dealing with parents of a anacephalic child. For example, they dress up the babies during hospital visits, take pictures with the hospital staff/nurses/doctors, the works. The parents like to pretend their one year old is just ''special'', not missing half their heads.
The doctor said it was the most severe case of abuse because:
- Jaxon really is a ''miracle'', for surviving this long. He was also impressed with his size and perceived weight.
- The kids he worked with also suffered from seizures, but not so severe. Also their parents knew better than to give them toys with lights and sounds. He said the parents were at least cautious with the type of objects they allowed near their vegetables.

Yes he is hispanic . His first name is Fransisco and the last name is something latino or hispanic .

Finally scored herself a real man instead of that narcissistic deadbeat dingleberry.

Don't get me wrong ... I find all kinds of men attractive --- EXCEPT overpriveleged jackasses.

The world would be a better place if assholes like Brandon, suddenly went into cardiac arrest and turned into pillars of pink Himalayan salt.

Not sure if you have seen this from Brittneys Facebook page. I think he looks particularly horrific from this angle.

It sounds cruel, but now that she has (by appearance anyway) a normal looking baby, she will probably quit transferring and projecting so much grief and fantasy on Jaxon.

Her daughter is front and center of the picture. She is focused on nurturing that sapling who will grow up into a real tree someday. The smoke and mirrors behind the Jaxon show is a massive effort and futile endeavor, and will definitely be sidelined (even notice he is to the side of the babygirl).

The demands of meeting the ever-changing needs of a typically developing infant basically sidelines efforts to keep up appearances unless it is mission essential. Then you have to make tough choices as you set priorities.

He's missing half of both his heads.

But seriously I'm glad I'm not the only one who wondered if that's normal for baby boys.

I thought he was anencephaly originally too, but then between this topic and tard baby central I somehow found this short article (yeah Wikipedia I know, but it does cite the NIH) and look who has a shoutout. If nothing else it explains why Jaxon actually has skin over his brain (I do think it's natural going by all the hair) and why he didn't die almost immediately.
Thing is, if you put "Microhydranencephaly" in Google Image Search, you get just two pictures of other cases-everything is all Jaxon.

Apologies if this has been asked before, but what are the parents options when a child is born with such an awful deformity? Surely it'd be more humane to just let them die than prolong their suffering and ruin the lives of the families.

If the child can breathe unassisted then it probably depends on whether the case is considered otherwise medically futile.

Whether an inferm individual has the potential to "ruin the lives of others" is not an objective measure because you could argue that a child with the native potential to be a saint, scholar athlete and Nobel Peace Prize winner has the potential to "ruin the lives of others," because the people around him have lives that can be ruined by any destabilising variable.

On the contrary, some people's lives are enriched by taking care of a suffering, nominally human, blob.

It is illegal to perform euthanasia on an infant, or anybody for that matter, because we feel that the means justify the end.

They can, and do, deny treatment and life-sustaining support for what medical expertise deems medically futile case and recommend something called palliative care.

This means that they can give the person a comfortable and dignified place to be, until the inevitable happens. In fact, all health systems and legal systems DO have a cut off point, when they deem a patient unable to benefit from further treatment, which is extremely costly, painful and demanding of resources, such as hospital beds and staff hours, that can benefit patients who will get better.

For all we know, Jaxon DOES receive palliative care. Mom has been quiet lately.

If common sense is to prevail, his seizures are medically managed, he has a quiet climate-controlled room, clean linens and clothing, comforting background noise, dry diapers and as few baths as necessary. Pain relief, food and hydration, with the purpose of making his remaining time as painless and stress-free as possible.

Hopefully he is not immersed in intensive early start programs, PT and speech therapy, for the simple fact that these programs are costly, overstimulating and painful, and of little use for a child with no mid or upper brain. I also doubt that would be eligible for invasive stuff like grafts, transplants, chemo etc.

Also, there are only so many hours available to children who are expected to survive the first decade of life, and benefit.

You can use physical therapy to help make a child more flexible and comfortable or improve muscle tone, but with the goal of easing his suffering.

But no, you can't legally starve or expose the kid to the elements, to ease suffering.

One of these things is not like the other .
Not that there's any question how underdeveloped Jaxon's brain is, but comparing the heads of Jaxon and Brittany's new baby certainly puts things into perspective. Jaxon turned 5 years old in August, which is the same month that his half sister was born. At 3 months of age, her head is already the same size as his and if you look at just the forehead region, you can see that hers is already much, much larger than his.
Their photos also show how alert she is compared to him. In that single, still photo, the huge developmental differences between the two of them are obvious and will only get bigger as she grows and develops.
I dont care what the mom says about how she can't pick a favorite, she must be ecstatic to finally have a kid that can react to her and interact with her. Now she doesn't have to pretend she has a child that's achieving milestones like walking and talking, she'll be able to actually see and experience these things firsthand.
I wonder how Brandon feels about his ex wife having a normal baby with another man. Id bet that he's got to be a least a bit jealous.

Every picture now he's got that spine curve and staring into the sky like he's tuned to a radio only he can hear
He's actually had posture that for a long while. I think it started before he turned one... maybe about the same time as normal babies start to hold their heads up. His parents would sit him in a chair or hold him upright to try and make him stand and walk and his head would bend all the way back as far as it could go. After a while, they started to fit different apparatuses around the back of his neck to keep his head straight, but if he didnt have anything to restrain his head and neck, they would always plop backwards. His parents were asked about it and at the time they said something about how he just liked to look at the ceiling.
I dont recall exactly how old the video below is, but I know the Buell's originally posted it years ago when they still had the Jaxon Strong Facebook page up. I believe this was when he was between ages one and two. He's in the same position in the video that he is in the recent photo.

Interesting about the back thing. I was looking closely at that photo because it almost looks like he has a ballistic vest under his shirt. Or more realistically, some type of back brace, and I wondered why since he’s on a bed. I know he has no muscle tone and I remember his head flopping around like a dead fish and mom excusing it while trying to hold him straight. I didn’t realize they were using things to prop him up.

It’s clear he’s not only steroid fat but he’s got something wrapped around his chest. I wonder if that is to protect his neck when he has to be moved. Or to make it easier to move him-a fat dead weight five year old (even a small one) might be getting heavy for just the mom.

I also am curious if she’s still under the impression that Jaxon really said I Love You and hit milestones as she told everybody? She has to know that the most generous interpretation of her saying those things is that she was deluded, and the worst is that she’s a grifter.

If she was under some hormonal, delusional new mom, “my kid will beat this brainless thing” she’s certainly knows how wrong she was. I’d like to see her do an interview and at least admit it.
