You may have ever heard of a movie with a extremely peculiar name on the 80's.

On this movie tells the tale of a man that desperately wants to escape reality, to his own fantasies that he calls Brazil, most of the movie is told by the beat of the song "Brazil", that have fitting lyrics for the drama the protagonist passes through the story, here is the trailer for said movie.

It shows the protagonist in a constant struggle between a gray and dull futuristic world and his super hero fantasy, does this remind of someone?

But of course I am using a really extreme example, Chris is in his struggle to find his Brazil for over 2 decades already.

There is people trying to find Brazil for short period of times and giving up right after, and others that die trying.

But how to understand this complexity of finding Brazil, I show you the 2 following videos, that digs more the idea behind Terry Gilliams creation.

The first video shows the most popular scene on the movie, and the second the complete song which gave the inspiration to the movie.

The scene showing the workers doing their job on the beat of the main theme is memorable, mainly because the theme builds in while getting a bigger look of the entire area, whaat gave the inpiration of many parody trailers later on(but right now it doesn't come in the case we are talking about).

The second if you study the lyrics it has a giant contrast with the brazilian version of the theme(Aquarela do Brasil), while the brazilian version tries to describe Brazil in a fantasious way, the english version only describes a vague memory of Brazil.

Brazil may be somehow connected to the real world after world, not just a simple a dream, but can someone achieve Brazil without getting their mind snapped in half.

Terry Gilliams describe his battle for achieving Brazil on the video below.

A lot of people didn't want Gilliam's Brazil to happen, the real world doesn't care in anyway for your struggle to get into Brazil, and even when you succesfully achieve Brazil passing all obstacles, most people won't care in anyway for your achievement (cue the failure of the movie on the theaters)

Can lolcows, subhumans and regular people on the real world achieve Brazil, though?

Are we already living on our Brazil and we don't know already?

Will anybody care for Brazil one day?

Most of these questions may care or not because...

...it's only a state of mind.
