i would say these channels that have popped up recently like "ethan is online" represent the final stage of breadtube, that is, completely substanceless outrage-porn. not that the OG breadtubers had much substance, it's just that they tried to put on a veneer of intellectual credibility. these types bank on you already buying into their premises uncritically because that's exactly what they've done. it's sort of like how the early pseudo-intellectual content of mid-2010s rational skeptic youtube would rise to vapid retards like no bullshit later on down the line. personally channels like these seem to me as a good sign, as they are signalling to me that breadtube as a force is devolving as echochamber ingroup bias sets in and as such their arguments will become weaker and weaker.

You raised a good point, which I hadn't considered. One thing I noticed about breadtube a while ago, in school they teach you when debating you want to consider the potential arguments against your position and address them so your position seems more thought out. Breadtubers figured out they can cheekily sidestep this by acting like they already have considered the opposing arguments, and they are simply not even worth individually addressing, with time being better spent moving on to more important, bigger picture topics. This is exactly what he's doing when he vaguely mentions that people only hate "modern art" because they don't understand it, even saying he used to be ignorant like the rest of us until he went to a museum and became educated.

Peethans main argument seems to be the information about the art is more important to judge its quality than the actual art itself, thereby excluding skill required, accuracy, aestheticism and anything else. Its the shit social sciences argument which cant differentiate between a childs crayon scribbles and a professional piece in quality.
