So, John joined a troll's Trump themed guild in the Final Fantasy mobile game and burnt it down and killed everyone in it out of spite.

It's one of those pay to win deals, so in order to get that powerful, John probably had to pay real money.

Because it's absolutely important to John's autogynephilic fantasy vision of himself to be great at video games. Unfortunately, John sucks at video games and has the attention span of a gnat. So he gets drawn into all these pay to win games because he can buy his way to "prominence" and keep the Brianna Wu fantasy alive.

Someone noted in the main topic that the whole thing feels like John wanted this to be picked up by Buzzfeed or some other clickbait site. It would be a double whammy if it had - Brianna would get attention and feel like a badass "gamer grrl".
