No, not Mucha Lucha! I liked that show! I will tell you though, i was glad that another Mexican wrestling kids show got cancelled.. anyone remember Los Luchadores? Now, THAT was terrible.

I liked Invader Zim! That show was good, but I'm glad Mr. Meaty got canceled, that was truly some terrible shit. I wish that all of the Housewives shows were canceled (Real Housewives of X, Mob Wives, Basketball Wives, etc)

But he's so bad at making a profit. Everything involving him has lost a substantial amount of money. By giving him shows and movies, nickelodeon is actually losing money.

Those Ren & Stimpy "adult party" cartoons from 10 years ago were pretty awful-- way too nasty even for ren & stimpy standards. Like, the time R&S lived in a spittoon? holy fuck.

I'd say Ren & Stimpy as a whole. I think it's awful. Same with Invader Zim, holy fuck Invader Zim was so BAD.

THANK YOU. Finally someone speaks out about this whole thing. I REALLY despised this whole "kiddy macabre" subgenre with things like Zim, Nightmare before christmas and pmuch anything with Johnny Depp in it where they try doing dark humor for kids. No, it doesn't work that way.

I remember a year ago Fox had on "Napoleon Dynamite: The Animated Series." and "Allen Gregory." I fucking hate Napoleon Dynamite. I hate the movie, he says "gosh" haha, that's funny. We get it, he's quirky. But here's the thing, he's not endearing. You have to be quirky and endearing for the audience to like you. And so Fox is all like "Let's have an animated series about a film that a few people think is funny." And I'm like "Please don't interrupt Bob's Burgers or American Dad" (I love those shows).

And I watch it, I'd watch the whole Fox Animation Domination line-up, for the hopes that something good would come on. And I found myself not liking it for the same reasons I hated the movie: I didn't like the characters, it was boring, and saying "Gosh!" isn't FUNNY!

As for Allen Gregory, what the hell were they trying to do? He's like this 5-year-old boy and he's precocious. IT'S BEEN DONE BEFORE INFINITY FUCKING TIMES! There is a time and place for characters like that: it was called the 80s. I don't care if Jonah Hill is behind it, no one likes precocious kids.

Do the people at Fox just throw knives at a board that has show ideas people have pitched, and whichever it lands on, they pick the show? I think they do it.

Well Invader Zim wasn't actually intended to be for kids originally. It was supposed to be Nick's answer to Adult Swim. Somewhere down the line, however, they chickened out and the show turned out differently from the original idea.

Ehh, if they had gone on with that I might have liked it a bit more. I did enjoy the art style quite a bit, it's just when you try to mix an adult thing with a kid thing it usually results in a mediocre, forced product.

Thank you, I forgot the name of that show (and also if it actually existed and wasn't just a dream about a shitty show) and was unable to find evidence that it ever existed for the past couple years. The first person thing really didn't work out well at all, was the main character a mute? That might have been why it felt so weird.

I don't really see anything wrong with the Nightmare Before Christmas. Am I big into it? Not really. But honestly it's not like the movies mentioned are poorly made. If anything, I gladly welcome claymation/stop motion animation whenever it's used. Also throwing Johnny Depp under the bus seems unfair since he didn't write or direct any of his projects. I guess it's all a matter of opinion but that's my two cents.
