Best evidence says he changed the gender markers on his government documents about a year ago and changed his name from Jonathan Gill Yaniv to Jessica Jonathan Yaniv. He has not had surgery but does not need it to be considered legally a woman in Canada.

You can always request it, just like you could request any other special consideration... the question is whether they have to accommodate your request.

Also don't forget that Jonathan is legally a woman now... if he specifically demanded to have a woman wax his nuts, he'd be asking for "someone of the same sex" as far as the law is concerned.

I could see there being an issue if normally they'd grant a woman's request to have a woman wax her intimates, but treat a trans woman requesting that differently. They need to either be able to justify it as "this client gave us the creeps and it has nothing to do with trans-ness" or they need to justify it as "we don't have any female employees who are qualified to wax testicles, regardless of whether you call them male or female testicles."

The main objection will most likely always be that they aren't trained to wax male genitalia, as was seen in JY's case (Brazilian is a female treatment). From my experience working near a salon and having friends there, male waxing isn't widely taught. You'd have to go to a specialist. Even if Jonny is legally a woman if someone isn't trained to wax his genitals they can't unless they want to get sued for causing serious damage. See it as this: a beautician who was only qualified in waxing eyebrows was made to thread. They'd do a bad job, cause pain and potentially injury. If they aren't trained in that anatomy they can't offer that service.

That's why I enjoy KF so much, we can say how it is, very few places left where you can say that jonathan yaniv is a bloke, a bloke in a dress. He and his ilk can expect/demand all they want, it alters nothing.

He will never be female, he will never pass as female, he will never look female, he will never sound female, he can have all the surgery on Earth and, still, won't be a female. In Canada you do not go to jail for failing to pay fines. Ever. This never ending dream that Yaniv is going to jail is delusional. Even if there was CP he would likely not get real jail time. Americans fail to understand the bleeding heart that beats within the Canadian justice system.

Regardless of his failure to make his previous respondents whole, he is entitled to file more claims. Just because you are a criminal, a grifter or a vexatious litigant, the HRT can not deny you the human right to access the system. It is fundamental.

Long run, I think this abuse is fabulous and will likely lead to the demise or at least reinvention of the HRT process in every province. As it should. The powerful legal beagles behind the scenes are already making plans.

Yaniv's victims will never get justice. The most they can hope for is to play a part in fixing an unjust system.

Then why is Donald in jail? Made too many enemies with cops?
