Bronze Age Mindset - Interesting Meme Book w/ Interesting Origins

Have any of you read it? What do you think?

I just got it today and have only read the prologue, which I like quite a bit.
I finally bought it after seeing people I respect talk about it. It turns out the ghost writer is likely Curtis Yarvin a.k.a Mencius Moldbug, who is a thinker I deeply respect, and that only got me more excited to read it.

Not sure if this is a Kiwi thing, but I know some of you guys have great taste in film at least. Maybe everything is a Kiwi thing.

Why do you think BAB is Moldbug? Not to knock his writing, but he seems like a very gentle nerd, not a rockheaded goon. Also, I think he went back to writing, anyway, didn't he? why write under two different names in two different styles?
As to the book itself, maybe it's my curse of having some scientific background and interests but his going on about evolution really took the wind out of the book's sails and I peaced out. Is it worth getting back to? I wanted to have fun reading it, I liked the Nietzschean style, but it didn't click for me.

He's writing for American Minds and this is the second thing he's written so far. It's a part of a series of articles on Bronze Age Mindset. It's a response to a critical review of book— and Curtis Yarvin is the one who introduced the book to the reviewer. Yarvin was also on bodybuilding forums about the same time BAP started posting. Bronze Age Pervert is mentioned on a thread on thise site in 2016 and people think he's a troll account. The thread has a screen by BAP and the English is perfect. So he didn't always type ESL.

The more you look into Bronze Age Mindset, the more Curtis Yarvin's name pops up. And the main thing is that the writing style — weaving together history and pop culture and memes (In his old blog he rickrolls and continually messages the redpill, among many other memes) — is just like his and the anti egalitarian message is so similar.

If you think he's 'a very gentle nerd', you think that because of his google result picture and have clearly never read his writing.

Yarvin literally had a pseudonym until people found out who it was. Yarvin was posting on forums before BAP, and BAP always seemed like an extremist troll account. Yarvin put his head down after people found out he was Mencius and it was affecting his personal life, and this coincides with the rise of BAP.

I'm still at the beginning. It starts off very spiritually with a lot of fake ESL typos (apparently that tones down 50 or so pages in) but it feels a lot like Mencius. There are not a lot of people that will weave through ancient Rome, movies, and modern politics all within a few paragraphs. It's him. I'm done debating it, I'll just say that people that are more in the know than me think it is him, and have more reasons to think so. When there's smoke, there's fire. There's a lot of smoke.

EDIT: Tech Crunch is the one that outed Moldbug as Yarvin. You have to be a moron to think a guy with a history of posting anonymously under a pseudonym, who is now connected with a new pseudonym cult of personality - with a similar writing style and message - isn't him.

It's pretty cool, really.

Keep in mind Yarvin is a poet. It's not beyond him to experiment with new prose. I think I've said it in this thread before, there are just not a lot of people that can seamlessly weave through history, politics, science, pop culture, and internet memes.
