What I mean is that he seems to think that when people say they want more diversity in Hollywood and American media, they’re literally saying they want every individual movie to have some kind of arbitrary percentage of every kind of person. There are people who say this, generally a minority of dipshits on tumblr, and generally just a couple people screaming “this movie is too white” at clouds. But when most people talk about diversity, the point is to see Hollywood as a whole be more diverse, not for every movie to look like a stock photo of smiling businesspeople just because. Especially not when it’s a movie that takes place in the African savannah.

So it’s like... yeah, no shit they’re not angry about it? Did he actually think that people who think Hollywood shouldn’t be overwhelmingly white would be angry when a movie is not overwhelmingly white??
