To be honest I was a never a fan of Buffy, never understood cult followings for T.V shows that most people have forgotten. Which is why I'm amazed they're remaking it. Hasn't Hollywood learned from the horrible remakes of movies like Nightmare on Elm Street. Just because the franchises might be popular online doesn't mean they'll be successful with the general public or casual fans.

Charmed and Roswell will probably end up just as woke. They'll likely throw a troon in there or something. They can put a troon amongst the Charmed sisters. I can see them trying that.
Why do they need to resurrect this stuff for new audiences? Why not just add to the universe with a new but related series occurring in the same universe? Something that's connected but doesn't require you seeing the whole older series to understand?
And what the hell kinda black girl is named Buffy?

Buffy was special to me. Seeing them ruin it pisses me off to no end.
It doesn't even make sense for her to be black because the character itself is supposed to be the archetype of the ditzy blonde valley girl that usually gets killed off in every horror movie. I wouldn't have any problems with them adding a new side-lead that happens to be black but for the character itself, it doesn't make any sense.
