I do a lot of pixel art. It's such a nice medium. You have to balance detail and working within restrictions. I started making edits, coloring game boy sprites, then I moved on as I learned.

I have a MASSIVE bank of assets I've been putting into my game Ohmega Protocol.
These are not a part of those, however. These are more RPG themed and will possibly be a part of a nice lil' RPG some day in the future once I finish Ohmega Protocol.

I have a really simple art style that's composed of both 5 tone shading and noise shading. I have problems with anatomy, so you'll notice that most of my art is composed of really simple people or strange looking mutants.

Thanks! I know what Earthbound is, but I've never actually played it. I've heard that Earthbound is amazing from several different people.

Even though I assume that everybody here is a pixel artist, I'd just like to tell aspiring artists something about how I began to do pixel art.

Back when I was 9-10 years old, I began splicing pokemon sprites. Seriously, that's how I began. I used to use MSPaint. I'd make new colour palettes and I would stick the limbs from other pokemon onto a new one. It took me about 4-5 years before I actually started doing something I considered "Competent". In short, never give up. Just keep on improving and one day you won't be sticking apendages to a dragon. You'll be sticking apendages to a mutant.

You should play it, it is amazing. Get you a SNES emulator and download that ROM. If you like RPGs, unique art style, catchy music and trippy imagery it will not disappoint.
