Over the years Chris has said things that even today make little to no sense whatsoever. What are some of your favorites and why?

Mine is in the title from Sonichu #2. "You don't have to tell me twice! But during the stone age!"

I've tried to make sense of this quote and still can't figure out even slightly what Chris was trying to say. Was it some sort of attempt at humor?

The only reason to watch the Videobooks (alright, I just read the transcripts because I couldn't take the voice) is that Chris often explains his motivation behind seemingly pointless jokes. They're never funny anyway, but at least there's some logic there. The full line is "You don't have to tell ME twice! Return to stone age? Boy you really need to tell those cavemen twice.", to which Chris adds in his usual fashion "Heheheheh! RUN FROM THE DINOSAUR!".

Chris thinks he's so influential and with it that any references he makes, no matter how obscure or even ones he made up, will be understood by the reader.

The badge gag is explained in Sonichu 4, Subepisode 6 where Chris does a documentary on jerkops. Jerkops have badges made of yellow crackers, while the Jerkief's is wooden. I guess the joke is he's so stupid he thought his wooden badge was a cracker? When asked to explain the joke, Chris responded with "Well ya'll should know that reference by now because it was in da comic!" I'd actually recommend that episode for a real display of Chris's immaturity. It's mostly about how to kick Jerkief in the nuts and how ugly jerkops all are.

I'm actually depressed that I know this shit.

Maybe Chris sees other people responding positively to witticisms that he doesn't get, and so he equates "wit" to "nonsense".

In other words, maybe you shouldn't waste too much time trying to figure out the meaning behind statements that were intentionally made to be meaningless.

Sometimes he tries to explain his jokes, but sometimes he just is laughing at his own jokes. That little, almost forced-sounding, chuckle. "Heh heh heh..."

Chris intended them to have meanings. It's just that the meanings only make sense in Chris' scrambled noggin.

Which is funny because the golden rule in comedy is to never laugh at your own jokes. It's the ultimate sign that you're not funny.

Oh yeah I forgot about that one. I bet if you asked Chris now he'd probably not know what he meant either.

Writing, humor in particular, requires you to put yourself in the minds of potential readers. Chris cannot even conceive of this ability, and writes for himself, assuming that everyone's mind is like his. If he gets it, they get it. If he laughs, they should laugh. It's the 'tism.

I was so confused when he said that! Maybe he was trying to be cocky in the fact that Mr. Devoria would be sweating doing exercise because soldiers are like warriors?

That does bring up a good point that Chris didn't make Sonichu to be a successful franchise but rather as an outlet for his own personal problems and insecurities.

Some, not all, wear a black gove to cover the spot where one finger fell of as it grew up. They wear brown shoes, because of their sausage feet.

Sounds like something I would have written when I was about, oh, seven or eight.

This is actually what struck me about it. My mom has this thing I wrote when I was six describing one of my aunts being bitchy in the style of a nature documentary narration and she thought it was hilarious, and for a six-year-old it probably wasn't bad. But for a twenty-two-year-old men... Not so cute.

I think that was Chris's idea of a badass action one-liner, like something that the cornered and seemingly-defeated hero says to the protagonist before blowing him up.

"Where in the wide world of extreme sports are we?"

There's also a similar one about a bottle of Pepsi which I'm having trouble recalling.
