Oh there's no doubt on that. But Christians scam other people all the time, so I doubt they give a shit.
The man had a show in which Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny, and The April Fool were reoccurring characters, yet not one appearance or reference to Jesus? Yeah he's scamming. But i dont know if he's worse or better than Tara Strong Drumping all day on twitter.
South Park had more references to Jesus before it was even an actual TV show, in the Internet only Christmas special.

But You'd have to be retarded not to notice that if you are making A platform designed to deliver content tailored specifically to Family morals you have to choose some kind of moral groundwork for that.
Base it on american Atheist morals and you end up with a lot of stuff Christians Vehemently disagree with and don't consider family content.
Meanwhile, Atheists can tolerate most Christian morals outside of a few select things (Mostly to do with LGBT stuff) But that's not exactly hard to avoid, and Christians are the largest demographic in america.
So in the end it makes sense, from a marketing and Business standpoint to use a Christian moral framework.
That said I doubt Butch thought that far. I wouldn't be surprised if it is all a scam anyway.

Pretty sure his shadiness, emotional manipulation, smug attitude, dismissiveness towards detractors, and willingness to silence both reuploaders of his unsavory content and disgruntled backers are all way more damning than the possibility of Oaxis being Christian

So who "inspired" Hartman to spread Christian values while he visits the Church of Bethel? Joel "My megachurch is not the Ark" Osteen? Peter "It's just a hearing aid" Popoff? Benny Hinn via Skype through his private jet?
And not to mention they covered this strategy of "family-friendly" marketing to fundies a decade ago. The episodes where purity rings are pushed by Disney while they use sexualized advertising really hit the nail on the head. I liked that they threw a few jabs towards Disney's star "musicians" and made Mickey Mouse into a demonic Kaiju at the end.
It's almost like this was a scam or something.

South Park also uses more overtly Christian Parables and Object Lessons. The use of parables in media is not really Christian Prosletyzing. I mean technically Superman is simply a play on the Old Testament Moses story. Neon Genesis Evangelion is based on Judeo Christian Parables. And uses a ton of Christian iconography. I don’t think anybody would claim it is in some way trying to brainwash anyone. Beyond maybe seeking to see if severe mental illness is contagious. Do Hartman’s shows in some way include a subliminal “burn the gays” message? (Moreso than the She-ra reboot has, albeit unintentionally?)
