If I understand this post correctly, this person has not been taking any of their psychiatric medication for some time whilst also using some questionable DIY concoction that may or may not be estrogen. Estrogen can have a very significant effect on mood disorders in natal women; god knows what it does to men.

I'm sure he honestly does want to kill himself, hell, he probably already did it. Sure as shit wasn't because of the Kiwi Farms or a fairly milquetoast thread though.
Now the name somewhat rings a bell as I went through the thread. So this guy created BSNES, I remember that was the only emulator that I could to properly function on my old bomber XP, back when I was in the retro scene in my youth.
Actually was a pretty solid emulator back in those days, which also is one of those emulators if you figure out the GUI, you could actually do some cool shit, especially when hacking ROMS. I always thought it was strange on how it created its own variant of the SNES ROMs, but it did do the trick, especially on that craptastic machine that could barely run anything.
Shame he fell down that rabbit hole, especially if he can reverse engineer instruction set of a subvariant of the 6502, pretty impressive feat.

I’ve done some pretty shitty things on this website but my first instinct isn’t “I’m going to love bomb you and guilt trip you at the same time and then extort you because you didn’t take my bait” depression doesn’t do that, being a certified asshole does.
From my experience, suicide baits are almost always fake, but they're mainly made by people that did not have depression in the past. And keep in mind this guy offered to work and pay $120,000 to Null. That's a bit much for just wanting to remove a dead thread on a random site that's dedicated for autists for make fun of other autists, is it not?
This guy seems so mentally unstable (and/or sensitive) that I don't put it beyond him that he would kill himself just because of a KiwiFarms thread.

Seems like he just wanted some excuse to kill himself and something to pin the blame on for it. Should've gone to a therapist or something about the weird guilt he feels about random internet strangers he has no control over haranguing people they probably barely recognized instead of begging for an inactive thread to get taken down.

If this dude had the presence of mind to make the promise he'd "just post emulator releases and that's it", well then that's something that he could have commited to right now, whether the thread stayed up or not. He could have just as easily taken this bogus ultimatum and turned it into a public announcement that all his social media presence under his current name was over and done with. From that moment on, all his troubles fade away without having to offer up his life savings to a forum owner.
People are generally really supportive when you take a break to recollect. If you make it a long enough break then when you return they can forget the ways you were stupid or a piece of shit. "The furry stuff? I was pretty messed up at the time, that was the old me." That's literally all it takes.
Not that it matters in this guy's case. His twitter goodbye thread makes it pretty clear he is/was more interested in externalizing his problems than actually dealing with them. He would've kept doing that whether the thread stayed alive or not.
