Obituaries are a bad lead. One of Chrises enablers faked his death just last month with a fake obituary. The other time goons decided to troll Gorgeous George by posting his fake obituary online. Also, I doubt there will be one. The guy moved away overseas and isolated himself from pretty much everyone.

And cynically (realistically) speaking the pills are an additional step that allows you to save face for not following through with the threat. That's why it's the method of choice for all habitual suicide threateners.
Just within the last couple months Aydin Paladin had a meltdown where she threatened people with it being their fault that she was going to kill herself, and it's documented over in her thread. What came of it? Nothing. She didn't even go through the rigamarole of downing the pills, immediately going to the hospital to get her stomach pumped, and taking a selfie in the hospital gown for pity points. She just came back online the next day with a narrative to deflect away from the manipulation of her threats.
Does the inclusion of pills mean it's definitely a fake-out? No, but for someone who has been publicly documented as being manipulative in the past it really becomes a strain to bother assuming the worst.

It really is, and it's cruellest because it turns your brain against you. Which is awful, I'd not wish it on anyone, even those I despise most. That said, maybe he should have embraced the Japanese system and become more involved in his local community and accepted that a home made titty skittles concoction was not the way to go.
At the heart of this it proves trans people are deeply unstable and mentally unfit, and that gatekeeping and therapy are best, that it should be strongly discouraged to "transition" and that seeking to self medicate is a bloody awful idea.

I don't really think anyone would bother faking an obituary on a Japanese news site for this guy (Nor do I think very many people in his circle either have the capability to do that or are as invested in retarded Internet drama as they'd need to be to want to do that), but yeah, I'm pretty much in agreement.
Suicides do get reported in the news in Japan from time to time, and a foreigner in Arakawa taking drugs and hanging himself would probably get some sort of short article or mention somewhere.
Anyhow, it's the middle of the night in Japan right now so if there's any news/confirmation on this, we probably won't hear it for at least another 9 or so hours.
