So, as some of you know I am running the Horror on the Orient Express campaign, so I am starting up this thread as kind of a ground zero for that. Anyways, I have a few players line up already, some I have already confirmed to me that they want in, though not all of them, so far I have:
Yaks
Bgheff
HungerMythos
ZombieGaryOak
teheviltwin
Anyways, I would like one or more additional players as this campaign is HIGHLY lethal, meaning players will die, a lot. The book reports the the playtests had a 70% fatality rate, due to death or insanity. So if anyone else is interested, let me know in this thread. So the details:
Time:The game will be on a Saturday afternoon, Central Stand Time, we can agree on a more specific time here in the thread. I would like 12:00-2:00 PM CST to start myself, and I want the game sessions to last less than 3 hours.
Character Creation: Those who have played in my previous games will need to roll up a new sheet. The book recommends rolling up 3 sheets. Dungeon magazine said you should roll up 6. Roll as many as you deem fit. Since this game will be highly lethel, and I WILL be pushing the lethality, I will grant the players a few Keeper boons at character creation:
Players may re-roll any one stat roll and keep the higher roll.
Players will receive 10 bonus skill points.
Players will receive 500 dollars cash at the start of the campaign to spend on gear as they see fit.
I will be posting some pre-campaign info on here when we have everyone together.
Campaign Info and Tips: First and foremost, this is a role-playing game and I do expect players to ROLEPLAY. I know that it is likely that everyone will die at least once, but I would like some effort to be made into actually playing a believable character. I will also require that the characters take notes of their adventures and keep diaries. The player themselves does not, but it would be useful. If a character dies, the only way they will know what the previous investigator knew is if it was written down. If it was not, they will not know.
Also, remember this is not D&D, it is not normal for people to be walking around London or Paris armed to the teeth. Keep this in mind when equipping your character for a day out.
Also, it might be useful for your investigators to have languages other then English, especially those along the route.
Most of all, have fun! If anyone else is interested in playing, let me know here and if I need players I will invite you.
