Apparently there is this thing going on with tumblr. All the tumblrites are getting a week bit pissy because they did something in an episode of My Little Pony. It's laughable how ticked off these guys get for absolutely no reason.

It's to the point they put "trigger warning". All after Brotherhooves Social. Oddly, no one does this for the other, legitimate episodes. There are episodes that are close enough to censorship that they like but no warnings.

In the episode, basically Big Mac dresses as a mare to allow him the ability to do the race with his younger sister. It was an episode dealing with Brotherhood, supposed to teach that it was as valid as Sisterhood was. Being tumblr, it misconstrued it and now want it banned for transphobia.

Just weeks after defending Steven Universe for having Steven randomly wear a dress. At the same time, these people are the ones saying clothing is just a social construct.

Tumblr is highly known for pulling shit out their ass to get offended at, but to go to the lengths they do for it is horrible. Some boycotting the staff. I wanted to say it here because it's a hallmark of tumblr.

The fact that they hate it makes me uncomfortable. All the characters didn't care he was in a dress. The viewers were the only ones caring. Shows how much they are transphobic.

Also, Big Mac isn't a trans girl.

And they sure ignore the fact that the VA that they were so triggered by apparently has a trans sister.
Funny how they completely ignore the fact many people who are trans take no offense to it. If anything, it's more drag.

Funny how prior to this, many thought he was trans female. If anything, Big Mac is far more open as a female than male. In fact, he's more confident. He actually talks. He's more outgoing. If anyone wants to view it as trans, view it as a person finally becoming what they want to be, despite the outlash it might cause.

Then the ponies look like the supporters because they weren't bullying him because of his attire. They were upset because he wasn't being himself, just what he pictures everything because he felt pressured.

If one wants to think it's about trans, then see it as a person coming out, being scared of the out cry it causes until they realize the fact they have supporters. It's sad people think it's something awful considering that's how many people feel when they come out.

I can recall a time when dressing in drag was a badge of professional honor for professionals of all kinds. It was the ultimate sign of you being so self-aware that you were willing to take the piss out of yourself with triumphant style.

I know, but sadly many people dislike the art of drag despite the fact that the people doing drag help the most in the LGBT areas

Crossposting a screencap from the cuteosphere/ponydreamdiary thread with what she said on the matter, since it's just as silly as the rest of this...

It's kind of hilarious that people are so mad about this, since it turns out through the episode that everyone is pretty much aware that it's a dude in a dress but don't even say anything because they don't care. It's just kind of accepted by most of the other characters that he is just trying to do a nice thing for his sister, and nobody even says anything nasty to him.

Can't say I'm surprised, though.

As soon as the episode came on, hell even when I saw the thumbnail for it, I knew there would be some Tumblr tart who would start bitching about transphobia. It's one of the oldest cartoon cliches in history guys, pretty much every cartoon in existence has an episode of a male character dressing like a woman or vice versa, not everything is personal. And besides any adult of either gender who cries because of a my little fucking pony episode needs a firm, open palmed smack to the back of the head.
Rant over just...dammit stop being so predictable you bunch of complete wusses!

What a day we have come to where we have feared upcoming war, to now feeling uncomfortable because a technicolor horse is in a dress. Must show how confident and strong Trans people are when they apparently feel offended by a children's cartoon.

At the very end of the episode there's a scene where the little sister says “Guess both of us have been holdin’ back when it comes to expressin’ ourselves, huh?” and fades out on her trying to cheer up her brother by asking what the female persona would think of the sunset and him opening up and loudly and happily talking to her in the girl voice.

SO TRANSPHOBIC

Edit: I don't remember people up in arms for the Adventure Time episode where Princess Bubblegum was literally being transphobic and outright laughing at the male cookie who just wanted to be a princess

Its not My Little Pony, that is why. If its My Little Pony, everyone loses their shit, even if the reason was the exact same or nearly identical like the reason Steven was in drag. (He did it for nearly the exact reason, but the difference being that it wasn't for a sibling. If anything, Steven would be mocked for being in drag if he went out in it. )
Steven Universe also had a scene where the little boy was in drag. How is that different?

Also, if your a grown adult and a children's cartoon causes you to break into tears then that is your god damned fault.
Its different because Steven Universe is..Steven Universe. They endorse it and Rebecca Sugar is one of them (or at least, in their clique) I bet you they wouldn't lose their shit if Dipper did this for Mabel. If Dipper had to dress in drag for Mabel, it wouldn't be even remotely as rage inducing. I even think they did it once or twice. Unlike Rebecca, Alex and Dave don't give a shit.

The only real episodes they should be complaining about but aren't are the ones they celebrate. The ones that go against their moral highground. (One Bad Apple, The Cutie Map, etc) That shows, considering one had one of the characters nearly kill another (Or could have if it as that kind of show) and the other showed cults.

Wait, that seems fitting, actually.
