I personally only think rainbow colors are dangerhair when:
1. It's garish, overly vibrant
2. Visibly greasy
3. Paired with a weird haircut
4. Unevenly applied
5. Multiple colors like a clown wig

Opinions?

Not anymore. 10 years ago, yes. But once that connotation began, there's no avoiding it.

Now, a light pastel rinse is different from dangerhair, especially if you have long, traditionally girly hair. You shouldn't be mistaken for a dangerhair if this is the case.

still light lavender or lilac is p dangerhair or gateway to full on dangerhair.

Blonde, Red, Brown, Black - Yes
Black is getting there(especially in bob cut) and red was the dangerhair of hipster chicks in like 2010 lol

Personally I genuinely appreciate the effort they go through to stand out like a sleazy, neon-tinged thumb. I save a tremendous amount of time poring over stories and interviews and Twitter accounts by just looking for the picture, spotting unkept, purple hair or problem glasses, and hurriedly fucking off to avoid wasting 15 minutes of my day. It's very thoughtful of them and I whole-heartedly encourage them to continue.

Let me ask you this.

Can I get a swastika tattoo and you not think I'm a neo nazi, I'm not like "other" neo nazis.

It's got such a stigma, for good reason and much like the swastika it used to mean something else, and be ok but danger hairs fucked it up so if you are really thinking oh everyone will know it's a Buddhist peace symbol..

As just mentioned, people put effort to let us know they aren't worth your time.

Balyage is not dangerhair, IMO.

Even balyage with a temporary pale blue or pink tinge.

But if you go bold colors and start cutting it all weird, then you're in dangerhair territory. Of course, if you have a pastel rinse, you need to behave better than good - the slightest spergery will label you a dangerhair, and they'll be right to do so.

So if you're on the SJW fence, do not add even a slight rinse if you don't want to be associated with, or left you fall into, the dangerhair crowd. If you're pure of heart with no chance anyone could begin to lump you with the crazies, have at it - done gracefully at a good salon.

If you look like Ali Rapp or CWC with seaweed hair all scraggly, it's too late for you.

The people who can’t pull off natural hair colors will be ugly either way, so there is objectively no reason to die your hair unusual colors under any circumstances.

It used to be a signal for : "I'm a party slut and I am very easy." before SJWs overtook it.

Stuff like this used to be very popular in parties where concert girls went to. It was just a bid to stand out and get free drinks from 40 year old rockers.

SJWs of course had to ruin it.

Now that I think of it, a lot of SJW accessories like piercings, dangerhair and chokers were "stolen" from the goth crowd.

Oooh remember Orange Crush, the hair color from The Fifth Element? It was big in the late 90s.

SJWs ruin everything.
