Most of us can probably badly sing along to trashy karaoke songs but that's nothing to be proud of, and, to be honest, if you've even gone to a karaoke bar then you probably live your life trapped in a chick flick. For the rest of us who aren't an ongoing actor in a lifetime original movie, what is your favorite genre of music and to what degree of success can you sing along to the tunes?

I have asthma and my voice is very squeaky, so I was doomed from the start I'd imagine if I trained my vocal cords I could sing (maybe even with great results), but I don't really have time for that.

To anyone trying to learn to sing: don't give up! There are many artists who have weak or silly voices, but they are great singers because they know how to use that voice.

I'm a big faggot so naturally I did concert choir for like 6 years. The problem with that is that once I was out of high school I got really into rap music and all of my singing knowledge didn't translate very well into that, so I'm in a weird position where I can belt out difficult tenor parts no problem but trying to sing along to Gucci Gang gives me a panic attack.
