The year before the acquisition, Rare announced three GameCube games and four Game Boy Advanve games. The three GC games were Star Fox Adventure (a retooled version of Dinosaur Planet), Kameo (which would eventually launch of XBox 360), and Donkey Kong Racing (reworked as Sabreman Stampede before ultimately being cancelled). The GBA games were Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge, Sabreman, Diddy Kong Pilot (released as Banjo Pilot), and Donkey Kong Coconut Crackers (released as It's Mr. Pants). Grabbed by the Ghoulies, Perfect Dark Zero, and Viva Piñata were also in some state of development for the GameCube, too. I find it amazing that Rare announced seven games during a single E3 and now struggle to release one game every five years. Now that I think about it, when MS bought Rare in 2002 I believe, Rare's existing games in development were either cancelled or reworked for the Xbox and Xbox 360 in lieu of Nintendo Gamecube. If this turns out to be true, Scalebound would be the reverse scenario. Nintendo took a then MS exclusive.
