I've only just stumbled onto her youtube channel, but whoo-boy I think she's a keeper.

At first glance she seems like just another paranoid, ranting homophobic republican with a vlog, but there's so much to enjoy in the fine detail: her halting, forced delivery as she clearly reads from a piece of paper off-screen; the almost unfeasibly low-quality attempt at a cable news style set that makes her broadcasts seem like FactZone without the charisma; and her chitlins-and-grits accent.

And then you start digging a little deeper into her archive and start finding her Sonichu level animations, which are either dadaesque works of primitivist outsider art or just batshit crazy.

According to her, she worked at Moraine Music, which is a big Nashville production company. It's quite possible that 75 gold albums have been recorded there. Her ex-husband Phillip Scoggins is or was an audio engineer there; that much is legit, because he turns up on discographies. Carrie doesn't, as far as I can see.

Working at a place where artists do stuff that wins awards doesn't make you an award-winning artist. I worked at St. Martin's Press for a while, but that doesn't give me a right to brag about the Pulitzers and National Book Awards that the authors publishing with them have won. If Carrie got coffee for Kenny Rogers, or even if she logged track timings on ProTools, that doesn't make her a music genius.

As a card carrying member of the vast right-wing conspiracy, let me apologize to you all for my ideology somehow churning out tinfoil hat conspiracy theorists faster than anything. I'm not sure I've ever come across left-wing conspiracy theorists except maybe some of the occupy folks.

I actually knew a guy at some local swap meets back in the day who was diabetic and he was one of those "government and big pharma lying to you all you need are these sun artichokes to regulate your blood sugar." He'd go on these tirades about them and anti-government this and that freedom america blah blah and then one month he wasn't there and after a couple somebody called him and he was in a coma.

Christians make up over 70% of her entire country and if her accent is an indicator she lives in the goddamned bible belt. American Christians are not persecuted or bullied or mocked for being Christians. It might happen occasionally, but they make up the overwhelming majority and people making a couple of jokes at your expense or wanting equal rights as human beings does not equal persecution.

If she really wants to be persecuted for being a Christian, she should go be a missionary in Afghanistan. I'll pay for the plane ticket myself. Then she can tell me all about how mocked and bullied and persecuted Christians are in the good ole US of A.
