I know very few people, even in the marine biologist side of thing, who call jellyfish "cute" or "sassy". More "fascinating but dangerous"

I've said before that I think Cathy Brennan is either a repressed FTM transsexual in denial who's really mad at MTF trannies for wanting to get rid of the penis she desperately wants, or else an MTF that just hates other MTFs because she's so fucking mad about having a penis in the first place and wants to pretend to be a girl by being a hardcore feminist. I think Cathy is on to something. She's not wrong about a vocal population of MtF tran.s people (at least some of whom make no effort to pass or live as women) speaking over women who were raised as women, and interjecting themselves into women's spaces (e.g. Phil vulturing threateningly over the women's bathroom door, or Brianna Wu speaking for all women in tech and gaming, as if she is an authority of any kind).
I can completely understand how seeing people like those two grinds her gears. I have to grit my teeth every time Brianna goes off on one of her feminist rants and talks about her oppression as a woman and how hard she has it as a woman in tech and game dev. And people like Phil or Jordan talking about how tough they have it as women (esp talking about their non-existent rapes and fetishization of sex-working (lol, as if)), as if their experiences are indicative of anything other than their putrid personalities.
Then there's Locria Courtright and Fire talking about "girls with dicks." It's not enough that they make a mockery of femininity by their fetishization of it, then they go a step further and talk about how they are in fact better than born women (presumably because of their dicks-- makes you wonder why they want to be women so badly). It's probably even more difficult for Cathy, as she is heavily invested in her TERF-dom. But I get where she's coming from.
