So Chris' Christmas message is...don't treat other people like shit on a regular basis and always appreciate what you have before it's too late...or this fate could happen to you!
So nobody sent him that Sonic game he really wanted? If Robert Chandler was still alive this wouldn't have happened.
So, is he expecting total strangers to appreciate him or something? Most people don't get appreciation outside of their families and friends, but I guess since he's the Original Hand Drawing Creator of Sonichu...
There was another set of texts that I missed. These are from December 21st and December 23rd. I don't know if Catie has called Chris out on the relationship thing yet: the last time I was in contact with her she said she was looking for a nice way to point out that she and Chris were never in a relationship (so there was no "breakup").
I also just remembered that Chris referred to his parting with The Wallflower as a "breakup" as well.
There was a really disturbing email awhile back (I can't remember if Chris sent it to Rebeckah or Shaina) where Chris says that he and his mother were responsible for having a neighbor's cat collected by animal control and euthanized because it was "mean" to them. As an animal lover, this upset me (and pissed me off more than a little bit), then again, this could all be bluster and bullshit on Chris's part.
If the story about the cat is true, then it's understandable that the neighbor's aren't too fond of the Chandlers (the cat was a child's pet btw).

I don't know why, but when I read that no one likes Chris or Barb, it kind of reminded me of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." If they weren't so lazy, I could imagine them dressing up as santa and a reindeer and trying to steal Christmas trees and such.
I feel like it should be my duty as a literature sperg to take the "depressed and lonely boat" thing and and turn it into a Lady of Shalott/Charlottesville joke. But I'm having trouble doing it when that "rare deal" bullshit is reducing me to the mental level of "Oh fuck off, Chris."

I found the email (it's somewhat out of context because it's from a set of emails that I'll be dropping later (once they've been cleaned up).

That's horrible. Apparently leaving someone's family pet alone if it didn't want contact never registered as an option. If Chris is puffing up and trying to look cool by just saying he did, that's no better--it's intensely back asswards to think a decent person would be impressed.

Awww, what? That's terrible. Usually, I try to be sympathetic to Chris and his family (even though, I realize that an increasingly difficult task) but that's just hateful. I would be devastated if that happened to one of my cats.

I was starting to feel bad for Chris after reading the Christmas texts. But, like every other time I start to feel a little sorry for Chris, something like this comes out. What a little shit.
At least we got a nice little tidbit of info from this email though. We now know conclusively that Chris has figured out that Skyraider, the guy who liberated Chris's high school papers, is a preteen boy who lives on Branchland Court across the street from Chris. Someone should warn him, before the Chris sends the Trollbusters out after him....
