Hard to be a Trump supporter in Hollywood. We all know about James Woods, but there's a few others who have gone under the radar.
Maybe. You don't see them in as many productions these days. But you still know the names.
I've been looking at 990s of 501(c4)s that have made political gifts to the GOP or directly to the Trump re-election committee since 2018. Compared that with a list of major donors to those groups, where the celebrity is listed as either a major donor or the sole donor (i.e. a foundation.)
This is a list of the celebs. Was struck by how little work most of them currently get. A few of the names have publicly come out against Trump (i.e. Drew Carey, Caitlyn Jenner, and LL Cool J) but they continue to provide financial support. To be clear, PACs don't give money without the consent of their major donors, this isn't happening by accident.
There's not many surprises in the list, it's mostly notable for the number of people who still openly support Trump. I read this as the "have enough money I don't give a shit" list.
This list only goes back to 2018 and it's not complete. It does not include gifts that make their way to Trump from gifts to from one PAC to another, it doesn't include celebrities who's names I don't recognize, and it doesn't include individual gifts from celebrities given directly to a political party. I left out names of celebrities associated with PACs that give to both parties, these are just Trump supporters. Also, some of these celebrities are dead. In the case of Johnny Ramone, for example, his estate gives an annual sum to a PAC that makes the donation on his behalf.
One last note - I did not include the names of the organizations or the total dollar amounts. Some of the PACs are also associated with 501(c3)s that do charitable work. Pat Sajak, for example, gives to an associated non-profit that supports hospitals in the mid-Atlantic. Gary Sinese, for example, gives to an associated non-profit that works to prevent Veteran suicides. Not interested in giving SJWs a list of worthwhile groups to go after.
