ChaingunSnake first acquired his notoriety in December of 2015 when a generic spam review of his was spotted on a movie.
Clicking on the username revealed that there were up to fifty copies of the same review spread across dozens of movies and games. Clicking the links leading to the content he reviewed revealed cross-reviews from other accounts. As it turned out, there were dozens of socks just like this doing nothing other than spamming these reviews in heavy, rapid succession with no attempt at hiding the activity whatsoever.
That's not the best part, however, as it turns out, most of these accounts were carefully put together months in advance as much as two months apart from one another:
When the activity was discovered and being documented, he had this to say about it:
As you can imagine, his activity was considered a goldmine for Whistle enthusiasts so tracking his activity was to be expected. In the event, over 20 alts were dug up & this only includes the ones that were not deleted with post-fucking-haste.
After TriggerPuller was deleted was around the time he started fronting as ChaingunSnake. ChaingunSnake, like his other alts, had also dumped eight billion spam reviews but this account was surprisingly not deleted.
See, regular members of the site were not the only ones involved, he was causing such a racket that even the owner of the site had to get involved.
Once it was revealed to ChaingunSnake that he caught the attention of Tom Fulp, the dude who runs two companies and is raising a kid, the reviews had come to a halt.
ChaingunSnake would later join a crew designed specifically for collecting reviews eligible for deletion & marking them for abuse, one which was created because of him.
The group swelled to about forty people and for a while, things went smoothly for them, until a member of the group called DoctorStrongbad made a self serving post in one of the blog posts meant for the crew, tagging all the members of the group, asking them to join his HomestarRunner fanclub on the NG BBS.

By the way, in case you're wondering about DeftonesFan665 & ChaingunSnake, they both always show up to the same blog posts together to tag team whatever the other says. They've also been noted as sending the same PM to Strongbad's fans together:
ChaingunSnake hates it whenever they're called out as alts & has obsessed over insisting they're not the same person, even without prompt. Thus, I have put both their usernames in the title.
The only thing he's obsessed about more than proving he's not DeftonesFan665, is trying to prove that DoctorStrongbad does, in fact, use alts. In this post, he continues trying to convince people that Strongbad uses alts, when he's challenged by being told that proving such a fact would require mod confirmation, he replied with this:
He claimed Tom Fulp totally told him that they were all alts but has yet to prove it with even so much as a screen shot. What makes this claim all the more inconspicuous is that he shifted into the highest gear right away by claiming he spoke to the site owner.

I think we've talked once before a long time ago, if not, my memory kind of sucks so bear with me. lol So this probably seems kind of weird, but I just wanted to give you a little piece of advice from one user to another. That advice is that you shouldn't be a fan of DoctorStrongbad like you are. The reason I'm saying this to you is because I saw that you follow him. Yeah, these are alt's of his. If you look through their posts you'll see every one of them praising DoctorStrongbad. You can find the GayestGoth one praising DoctorStrongbad in the latest news post on his page.
Plus, I'm not sure if you know about the New User Introduction thread, but if you look through his posts in that thread he says the SAME THING to everyone who comes through. "Blah, blah, blah. Enjoy your stay." Know why? Because he just wants to up his post count. He doesn't give a rat's ass if a new user joined NG. The only thing he cares about is his stats. He'll even 'greet' old users who post in that thread saying, ''Welcome, blah, blah, blah. Enjoy your stay" because he's such a stat whore. It's always the same kind of thing said, but to a different user. He doesn't care about any new users that join because DoctorStrongbad only cares about DoctorStrongbad.
I'm sick and tired of him posting insincere welcomes to new users and being an egotistical ass who doesn't know when to stop. I'm trying to make some users more aware. I suggest not following him anymore because it just makes the guy stronger. If you decide not to believe me, that's your decision and I respect that. Just know that every person that praises and/or follows him is tolerating his massive ego and him not giving two shits about anyone but himself. Don't let his stats fool you. He's not a good user and I want more people to realize this. I'm just trying to do this site some good, unlike him.
