I like how it keeps the themes simple but doesn’t outright spell them out to you. Also every character was fun.

Did the writer continue after ending the first part? Wonder how it will be done considering you can't really ramp up from the original ending.

They confirmed a planned second arc at some point in the future. In the meantime an anime adaptation is in production. Apparently we'll be getting our first look on the 28th if memory serves.

An anime will be pretty sweet if only to understand what the fuck happens in some of the fight scenes. You could probably fit everything neatly in two seasons, but three would be optimal.

Funny to see this pop up now. I started reading this like a week ago, and am really enjoying it.

~90 chapters at ~2 chapters per episode fits neatly into two 24-26 episode seasons, I don’t think they’d need 3 unless they’re adding extra stuff.

I think this is a series that will be massively improved by an animated adaptation purely just from the change in medium. I just hope MAPPA isn’t caught in a rush and has the time and manpower to do it justice, since JJK season 2 and AOT season 4b are probably going to be in production around the same time.

wtf is season 4b? just call it season 5. MAPPA is a very good studio with recent works so I'm optimistic.

There is going to be a continuation but he's backing out of weekly for bi-weekly.

I started reading right after finishing Fire Punch, but my mind wasn't ready yet. The series was just beginning then and I decided to wait for more chapters. In the meantime this got so popular that it even got published in my shit backwater country. I really need to catch up when/if I get some free time.

I imagine the studio is going to have a lot of fun with it. By all accounts the author is quite a film buff, and the manga itself is practically a storyboard to begin with.

Fire Punch had a lot of good stuff in it but it went completely off the rails and just didn't fully live up to its potential. Chainsaw man feels much more refined, and less constrained by an unnecessarily grim setting. Then again, there's no telling what the next arc will hold.

i read the manga and i liked it well enough. watching dajin slowly grow as a person, get demolished, grow again was endearing and you could not help but feel sorry for the guy. all he wanted was to grab some fine tits and eat good food, something we all take for granted. the nitpick i got was some of the character's (especially the villain's) died to soon and did not get fleshed out enough. im still not entirely sure if i liked makima as the villain and her final battle with dajin..

will be reading the second season when it comes out. at this point, anything can happen.

Great manga. Amazingly hilarious that the most mundane and normal character of the cast was one of the only ones to survive.
