That's what the kids need to learn from yall. They fuck up when they allow these anti-social psychopaths into their ranks, who think demonstrating their "civil disobedience" involves assaulting counter protesters, attacking law enforcement (who are there to protect their sorry asses from angry citizens who actually have a stake in the game), and destroying property in the places where their demonstrations occur. All this accomplishes is making them look like assholes, gets them thrown in jail, and breeds a more radical opposition.
They drag the whole protest down because when observers see their aimless violence and vulgarity, they start to associate any protest with these clowns since they make the most noise and crave the most attention. They end up making everyone who has a legitimate beef with the system look bad because as an outsider looking at this mess, I see these fuckers and start associating the whole opposition with them.

How do these people justify having their personal information hoovered up and repackaged for marketing purposes on Facebook and LinkedIn? Never mind whatever connection between such sites and various national governments that may or may not exist. Shouldn't they at least be trying to be anonymous?
I wonder how common it is for the FBI and maybe ATF to put plants in such groups? My sense is that it is done to the far right, though I have no idea the extent of it.

A book about that very thing. Only this was in the mid 90's, not long after the Oklahoma city bombing. AIM and the hempsters work with local law enforcement to plan events and the cops are more helpful than harmful, doing their jobs to keep traffic flowing and quell disturbances, while protecting everybody's right to peaceful assembly.
the situation at standing rock would have been much worse than it was if the tribe wasn't in close contact with the commanders of the multi-state task force. the tribal council had to ask the red warrior camp to leave because they were so violent and agitating.
