So the backstory of furries in this setting is genetic engineering. I guess it makes sense that you'd want to make part animal people or uplift animals since that actually has some utility and practicality to it, but why would anyone intentionally genetically engineer taurs? It is an incredibly impractical body shape compared with bipeds for multiple reasons. Chakats are supposed to be some superior species, but apparently no one realized the obvious logistical problems of a giant lion hexapod.

It was very odd to me because the website had a section for children's drawings as well as NSFW things like this pic. There was no real warning for the porn art, just text saying that parents shouldn't let kids see it.

Fully agreed. I know it is disturbingly uncomfortable looking and you can see the artist struggling to reconcile them with everyday positions and furniture and vehicles. I think the best lunacy is the simple "cat curl up" pose on the beanbag looks so bizarre with a creature with 6 limbs.
