Within a month, Chris would have to go through a lot of calls between family members, the funeral home and the bank. That's a whole lot of stress I don't think Chris could handle (he's also going to go through a lot of underwear). Remember, only Barb had the wherewithal to deal with the insurance agency and the rebuilding of 14 BLC, and Chris was probably idling somewhere playing with toys and still thinking of his "sweethearts".
