Great flex, but I don't think she made anybody believe any of that at all. Who is on record as saying they believed it?
I think it is more than evident though that the guy really existed, she misread whatever the fuck he was up to, and he noped out of the whole deal. Which is a good enough arc for me; I don't really need to know any more about it, although I'll always be a little curious as to what really happened.
In short, the livestream-gummy-sex life of Chantal turned out the way we kinda all figured it would, which was in rejections from any guys who weren't imaginary. I think this was as good a reality-check for Clotso as we could have realistically hoped for, not that it will have any beneficial effect on her.
The beauty of Chantal's catfishing strategy is that she goes so overboard with it. Hides all the chins, combines makeup and face filters, really does the works to make herself look completely different. Then... once her unsuspecting date sees the real her it's like a monster movie reveal. Top that off with insane babbling and she can terrorize a man into running in fear almost immediately.
