Charlene Kathy Dorlean, better known by her social media moniker "Charlie Gold," is a morbidly obese youtuber whose content primarily consists of reaction videos shaming other deathfats marginally larger than herself. Historically, Charlie's favorite target has been Amberlynn Reid-- though recently she has turned more of her attention towards Chantal Sarault aka Foodie Beauty.
Not unlike other reaction channels that showcase fatties attacking slightly fatter fatties, registered republican Charlie claims to have a special insight into her targets' lives and the motivations behind their self-sabotaging behaviors. Charlie feels that because she has (allegedly) lost a lot of weight, her commentary should be taken as authoritative or constructive, but never as bullying or hatred.
At first Charlie's youtube channel didn't get much attention, not even when she made an video ranting about the one time Amberlynn wrote "nigga" on Tumblr nearly 10 years ago. [this video is seemingly lost to time; if you have an archive, speak up] Charlie's initial boost in viewership came when popular fitness youtubers started giving Charlie shine. They seemed to appreciate seeing an obese person on the platform who shunned the fat acceptance movement and was dedicated to improving herself. Despite this exposure, what really caused Charlie's channel to explode in popularity was, of course, Amberlynn Reid.
In the spring of 2019 Amberlynn was in the midst of a self-imposed challenge with the goal of uploading a youtube video each day, 100 days in a row. Since the videos went up at the same time each day, various youtubers would livestream their reactions to AL 's videos (and get some of that super chat coin). There was one day when ALR's upload was late by several hours and in that time, thousands of whale watchers had found their way to Charlie's stream. And while the stream itself was unremarkable most of those viewers became devoted fans (stream archive)
Like most reaction channels, Charlie's insights devolved over time into petty nitpicking, because there are only so many different ways you can say "lol fat" before it gets repetitive. It's something to be expected in this niche genre of videos, and fans typically aren't bothered. However, Charlie's fans--and certainly her detractors-began to notice that despite her boasting and bloviating, she was failing to lose any weight.

Even Charlie's fans were skeptical about this story; it seemed as though Charlie was trying to stall for time and hide from her audience. But why? Ultimately fans could do nothing but wait and speculate as Charlie let her face "heal" enough to come back to youtube. Or until...

Her mugshot reads 310lbs, but evidently that number is either self-reported at time of arrest, or pulled from Charlies driver's license. In any case we don't know if 310 is her True & Honest weight
2019-06-21 She was a delinquent tenant at her Tampa apartment to the tune of up to $15k.
2019-10-21 She drove like an exceptional individual and didn't show up to court.
2019-10-22 Her charges were upgraded from civil traffic to criminal traffic.
2019-11-06 Another court hearing Charlie didn't show up to, warrant issued.
2019-12-26 Charlie gets arrested, for a "failure to obey a written promise to appear". She was arrested at the following address; 1800 ORIENT RD, Hillsborough, FL. This place is a work release center for women. I don't know if she's a part of this program currently, but it would explain why she suddenly can't be on camera.
2020-04-20 is now the date by which she must pay her fines.
Tl;dr: Charlie owes 15K in back rent; is such a bad driver that her traffic violations were upgraded from civil to criminal offenses; blew off her court dates and a warrant was issued for her arrest. She was arrested right around Christmas so I imagine these legal issues are ongoing.

Recently Charlie has expressed the idea that she'd like to diversity-hire Shane Dawson out of a job and develop her own docu-series! The subject will be weight loss of course. I was really confused about the address for a while, she is also listed at another address in CT though it could just be that she left and still receives mail there.
